Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Episode Update – 9th September 2024: Manish’s Anger Subsides
The episode begins with Manish walking down the road, lost in thoughts about Akshu. He breaks down and cries, recalling memories. He mutters to himself, “Abhira and Ruhi are sisters.” Just then, Abhira stumbles, but Ruhi catches the bowls she’s holding. Ruhi comments, “You’re getting married, so you’re happy?” Abhira replies with a smile, “Yes, very much. Why do you have such a bitter face?” Meanwhile, Manish returns home and collapses, crying. He regrets not talking to Abhira when she called and says, “I would have known the truth if I had listened. Forgive me.” Swarna and Surekha arrive home and are shocked to find him on the floor. They rush to help him, asking if he’s okay.
At the same time, Abhira tells Armaan, “I don’t feel good; I’m scared.” Armaan suggests going to the hospital, but Abhira insists they go to Manish. They quickly leave for the Goenka house. When they arrive, the doctor is already there, checking on Manish. He warns that Manish is in a fragile state and could have a cardiac arrest at any time. Swarna tries to stay calm, praying that nothing bad happens. Abhira rushes to Manish, shouting “Parnanu” (her affectionate name for him). She’s visibly shaken, and Armaan stands worried.
Abhira kneels by Manish and tries to comfort him. Armaan suggests taking him to the hospital, but Abhira tries to lighten the mood. She says to Manish, “You already look so dashing, why are you doing this to get more attention? We’re here now, isn’t that enough to make you happy?” Slowly, Manish opens his eyes, and Abhira consoles him. Swarna is emotional, recalling his earlier words. The doctor announces that the ambulance has arrived, but Manish seems to have stabilized. He asks how this happened, and Abhira playfully says, “That’s our secret.” The doctor agrees to send the ambulance away, and Abhira sings softly to comfort everyone.
Surekha thanks Abhira for calming Manish. Abhira asks if she should stay, but Armaan insists on taking her home, assuring that he’ll bring her back if needed. Swarna tells Abhira not to mention anything to Ruhi, as she gets easily worried. Abhira agrees.
When Armaan and Abhira return home, Dadi greets them, saying they handled the function well and deserve a reward. Abhira finds a note, and Dadi explains, “I thought you’d be happy. This is a list of things needed for tomorrow’s rituals, and I thought Abhira would manage everything.” Dadi explains that the tradition involves exchanging gifts between the bride and groom’s families. Kiara excitedly asks if they’ll get gifts, and Dadi says that depends on Abhira. Armaan, concerned, asks why Dadi is pushing this, knowing Abhira’s situation. Dadi responds, “She said her parents’ blessings are with her, so she will do it. Let me know if you have a problem.”
Abhira thanks Dadi for her support and assures everyone that both rituals will take place tomorrow. The family applauds Dadi’s decision. Sanjay then interrupts, saying, “Just giving gifts isn’t enough; the bride’s family needs to be present for the ritual.” Dadi agrees and suddenly remembers, “Oh yes, I forgot—Abhira doesn’t have her family here. How will you manage this?” Armaan steps in, saying, “I’m her family.” But Dadi replies, “You aren’t her Maayka (bride’s family); she said she would handle it.” Armaan argues, “This isn’t fair,” but Abhira stops him, signaling that she will manage.
