Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Episode Update 9th August 2024: Ruhi Lie Exposed to Abhira
The episode begins with Ruhi apologizing to Rohit. Meanwhile, Armaan asks Abhira to stop the scooter. When she does, he suggests they have an argument first before going home. They start arguing, and Abhira expresses her frustration, saying everyone blames her, and she feels alone without a family. Armaan reassures her, saying he is her family, and she shouldn’t consider herself alone. He then tells her to stay there and take notes while he goes to get some tea. As he walks away in tears, Abhira watches and starts crying too.
When he returns with tea, Abhira sings “Chal Tere Mere…” to cheer him up. She hugs him, apologizes for getting angry when she feels people are unfair to him, and promises to keep fighting for him.
Armaan reminds her that they should stay out of Rohit and Ruhi personal life. Abhira agrees to try, though she laments that their date was ruined. Dadi, watching them, hopes that their lives will soon be filled with happiness.
Ruhi and Rohit return home. Vidya notices they came back earlier than expected and asks why. Ruhi explains that they were on a date, but Abhira and Armaan showed up too. When Abhira and Armaan arrive home, Vidya criticizes them, saying that as the eldest son and daughter-in-law, it’s their responsibility to ensure the younger ones are happy, not create problems. Abhira is confused and asks what they did wrong since they were just out for lunch. Vidya accuses them of competing with Ruhi and Rohit. Manisha tries to defend Abhira, saying they wouldn’t ruin the date on purpose, but Dadi insists that they did it intentionally. Abhira attempts to explain, but Armaan stops her.
Upset, Abhira goes home and starts beating a cushion. She calls the restaurant where Ruhi and Rohit were supposed to have their date and speaks to the manager. She pretends she wants to make a reservation and asks about Ruhi previous booking. The manager reveals that Ruhi had made the reservation two hours earlier by paying extra. Abhira thanks him, ends the call, and decides that Ruhi was pretending to be innocent. However, she wants to discuss it with Armaan first.
She calls Armaan and asks him to meet her in the outhouse, but Armaan says he’s busy with work. Abhira lets it go, telling him to come when he’s done.
Meanwhile, Rohit hears Ruhi talking in her sleep and wakes her up. She hugs him and asks him not to leave her. Apologizing for not organizing a perfect date, Ruhi insists she didn’t know about Armaan involvement and asks Rohit if he trusts her. Rohit replies that he doesn’t trust Armaan. As Armaan passes by, Ruhi sees him and starts crying. Rohit, seeing her cry, reassures her that he’s not doubting her, but he’s upset that Armaan has taken everything from him. Armaan, overhearing their conversation, contemplates whether to intervene but decides to let them resolve their issues on their own.
Ruhi is convinced that Armaan was passing by but assures Rohit that he wasn’t eavesdropping. Rohit, frustrated, threatens to confront Armaan, but Ruhi calms him down.
Later, Armaan comes to Abhira and suggests they talk the next day since they are both tired. Abhira, sensing something is wrong, asks what happened, but Armaan brushes it off, not wanting her to get involved in Rohit and Ruhi issues. They argue briefly before Armaan decides to go to bed.
Ruhi, who is downstairs, gets hurt, and Armaan notices. Concerned, he asks her how she got hurt and insists she apply medicine. Ruhi, still upset, tells Armaan she doesn’t want to talk, explaining that she got hurt because Rohit was upset. Armaan asks if Rohit hurt her, but she clarifies that she got hurt when a vase broke. Rohit arrives and confirms that he had told Ruhi not to touch the broken vase pieces, but she didn’t listen and got hurt. Ruhi then puts on an act, making Rohit angry, but she secretly thinks that Rohit is the cure for all her pain, and she will do whatever it takes to win him back.
