Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Episode Update 16th August 2024: Dadi’s Blessings for Abhira
The episode begins with Armaan and Abhira excitedly sharing that Dadisa has agreed to their marriage. Abhira says, “She used to see me as a problem, but now she accepts us. I can’t believe it!” Armaan replies, “I’ve always felt loved by everyone. Today, I realize how lucky I am.” Abhira playfully punches him and says, “This isn’t a dream, it’s real.”
Meanwhile, Dadi and Rohit visit the temple to pray. Dadi reflects on a conversation where Rohit told her, “I never wanted this family to break apart. Please listen to me this time, or I’ll leave the firm.” After praying, Dadi says, “Let’s just hope the marriage happens smoothly.” Vidya approaches them, saying, “This is important, especially since Armaan is the eldest. We all know how he and Abhira got married in the hospital, but this time, I want to do things right.” Dadi responds, “Do whatever you want.” Vidya smiles in agreement.
Back with Armaan and Abhira, they share a tender moment. The song Yeh Rishta plays in the background as Abhira performs aarti for Armaan. He feeds her sweets, and she takes his blessings. She tries to touch his feet, but he stops her, kisses her hands, and they embrace warmly.
The next morning, Dadi wakes up to see Abhira beside her, startling both of them. Abhira quickly says, “I came to thank you.” Dadi, still surprised, asks, “Why did you come to give me a heart attack?” Abhira, holding her feet, says, “I know it wasn’t easy for you to agree to my marriage with Armaan. Thank you so much. I promise to work on my flaws and try to become your favorite. It’s the responsibility of the elders to accept the younger ones.” Dadi listens quietly. Abhira adds, “I mean, it’s the job of strong, young people like you to guide us. Please bless me so I can learn everything quickly.” Dadi blesses her, and Abhira leaves, accidentally bursting some balloons on her way out. Embarrassed, she apologizes, “Sorry! I’ll bring something else next time.” Dadi, amused, says, “Just let me sleep in peace.” Abhira promises to try.
Later, everyone gathers to look at the wedding cards. Abhira comments on how big the card is, and Armaan jokes about it. Manisha, still surprised, says, “I can’t believe Dadi agreed. Armaan and Abhira are really getting married!” Manoj reminds her, “Didn’t you make a vow if Dadi agreed?” Manisha denies it, but Aryan teases, “You said you’d keep silent if Dadi agreed.” Manisha playfully tells him to be quiet, making everyone laugh. Just then, Ruhi enters, grabs a card, and tears it apart. Rohit, seeing this, asks, “Do you need anything?” Ruhi responds, “I just want your happiness. Now that they’re busy with their marriage, are you happy?” Rohit smiles and says, “Yes, I’m happy. Now they won’t have time to bother us, and we can focus on our relationship.” Ruhi nods and goes to make tea.
Meanwhile, Armaan sees Abhira and playfully whistles. Abhira, pretending to be annoyed, asks, “Aren’t you ashamed to tease a beautiful girl?” He cheekily replies, “No, I just feel love.” She jokingly threatens, “I won’t marry you if you keep saying such cheesy things.” He gets serious and says, “Don’t even joke about that.” She apologizes, and he says, “You’ll have to pay for that.” He pulls her close and says, “We’re definitely getting married now.” She holds him back and agrees, “You’re right.” He hugs her tightly, saying, “You’re mine.” Suddenly, she spots Dadi and tries to warn him, but he thinks she’s joking. She insists, “I’m serious, look!” When he finally notices Dadi, she scolds them, “What are you doing? This is so wrong.” Dadi walks away, leaving Armaan and Abhira laughing. Abhira tells Armaan, “Don’t make her upset.” He apologizes, holding her hand.
Ruhi, watching all this, quietly vows, “Armaan and Abhira’s story will end.”
