Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Episode Update 10th August 2024: Rohit Ultimatum to Dadi
The episode begins with Ruhi treating her wound. She thinks to herself that Armaan will feel sorry for her and get angry with Rohit and Abhira. This will create distance between the lovebirds, their love will fade, and Rohit and she will break up. Then, she will marry Armaan, and Abhira will have to leave so she can get Armaan. This is Ruhi and Armaan story, and she promises to shed tears of joy once Abhira is out of the picture.
The next morning, Dadi expresses her concern, saying she doesn’t agree with the decision being made. Sanjay responds that Armaan has become controlled by Abhira, and if they don’t do something, Abhira will take over their lives. He insists that Dadi must inform the family. Meanwhile, Armaan apologizes to Abhira, who also says she sorry but scolds him. He tells her he’s leaving, and she comments on how his mood changes so quickly before he goes. Ruhi then enters the scene, and Abhira confronts her, threatening to reveal Ruhi truth to everyone. Ruhi plays innocent, asking what truth Abhira is talking about. Abhira accuses Ruhi of giving extra money to book a table at the same hotel where they had been. Ruhi denies any wrongdoing and asks Abhira to stop accusing her. Just then, Armaan shows up, and Ruhi pretends to be hurt. He asks if she okay, and she tells him not to worry about her. Abhira tries to point out that it’s Ruhi fault, but Ruhi quickly agrees and asks to be left alone.
Dadi arrives and praises Ruhi for coming there. Vidya and others also arrive, and Vidya asks why they were called. Dadi announces that she has made a big decision. Abhira holds onto Armaan, and Sanjay nods in agreement with Dadi. Dadi declares that she wants Rohit to become the head of the Poddar firm. Madhav objects, saying that Armaan, as the elder son, has the right to the position. But Armaan supports Dadi decision, saying Rohit is ready for the responsibility and congratulates him. Sanjay inwardly celebrates, thinking that Rohit will mess things up, and he will then step in to save the firm and take control. Manoj protests, saying Rohit lacks experience for such a big role. But Dadi insists Rohit will manage.
Rohit, however, says he doesn’t want to take on the position. Kajal steps in, congratulating Rohit and implying he’s making way for Armaan. Dadi stands firm, saying Rohit is her grandson and she won’t let an outsider handle the firm. Madhav argues that she shouldn’t force Rohit, but Dadi reminds him that he didn’t become a lawyer, so she had to make this decision. Rohit eventually agrees but sets a condition: if he to take over the firm, Abhira and Armaan must be married soon. Dadi flatly refuses, saying she won’t ruin the family by making Abhira her daughter-in-law. Rohit says that without the marriage, he won’t take on the responsibility of the firm. Vidya, Manisha, and even the children plead with Dadi to agree. Overwhelmed, Dadi finally says she’ll think about it.
Elsewhere, Surekha is shocked to hear that Rohit asked Dadi to marry off Armaan and Abhira. Swarna, who learned this from Vidya, mentions they’ve been invited to the Teej festival. Surekha, feeling tired, says they shouldn’t attend the wedding, or Ruhi will be upset. Manish, however, admits he feels some affection for Abhira. Meanwhile, Ruhi, in a fit of anger, throws things around and shouts. Dadi scolds Kiara and tells her to leave, saying that if Abhira joins the family, it will be ruined. Ruhi blames Rohit for ruining her plans and realizes Dadi won’t accept the marriage condition.
Manisha gives Abhira a necklace, expressing her love. Abhira hesitates, noting that it’s heavy and that Dadi hasn’t agreed to the marriage. But Manisha reassures her, saying Dadi will eventually agree because she can’t say no to Rohit. Madhav optimistically mentions that Abhira will now be part of the family, but Charu doubts Dadi will give in. Manisha tells Charu to think positively, while Manoj sides with Charu, noting that Dadi is not easily swayed by emotional appeals. But Manisha is determined, saying the marriage will happen even if she has to take a vow of silence. Kajal, worried, decides to talk to her mother, convinced the marriage cannot proceed.
As this tension builds, Armaan quietly leaves.
