Yeh Hai Chahatein Written Episode Update 16th August 2024: Devraj’s Evil Plan Unfolds
The episode starts with Devraj forcing Kashvi and Meera to drink poison, telling them they’ll soon be in heaven. Mahinder suspects that Devraj has poisoned them. Arjun is torn, unsure of whom to save as both Kashvi and Meera are pregnant.
A Few Hours Earlier:
Arjun is checking on Pradyuman when Kashvi walks in, asking what’s going on. Arjun says he’s just checking something. He finds a medicine bottle, and Pradyuman explains, “This is Kashvi’s medicine. The doctor prescribed it for her pregnancy.” Arjun, surprised, asks, “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Pradyuman replies, “Sometimes I enjoy watching you act foolish.” He then gives Kashvi the medicine, insisting she takes it, though she protests, saying she could’ve taken it at home. Pradyuman, wanting to rile up Arjun, kisses Kashvi’s hand, which upsets Arjun, and he walks away. Pradyuman laughs and says, “I wanted to see Arjun’s annoyed face.” Kashvi, however, tells Pradyuman not to mess with Arjun and mentions that she’s busy.
Meanwhile, Mahinder and Raunaq Sir inspect the food and instruct the waiter to start serving. Devraj and his men watch from a distance. A cook suggests preparing a welcome drink. Meera approaches Arjun and happily tells him that Karun is excited to return to his old school. Arjun is pleased to hear this, while Kashvi silently thanks Mata Rani for fulfilling her wish. Noticing that Meera seems unwell, Kashvi follows her.
Devraj reveals his plan to his goons, saying he’ll mix a deadly poison into the welcome drink to kill everyone, including foreign delegates and political ministers. He remarks, “Everyone thinks I’m going to set off a bomb, but instead, I’ll poison them all. After they drink this, their tickets to heaven will be ready.” Meera overhears this and is horrified. She quickly takes Kashvi aside, explaining the situation. Kashvi is shocked, realizing that they thought he was planning a bomb attack, but he actually intends to poison everyone. Determined not to let him succeed, they head back to the kitchen.
Kashvi throws something at Devraj, causing the poison bottle to fall from his hand. She confronts him, accusing him of being too weak to carry out such an evil plan and urges him to surrender. Devraj, however, apologizes for underestimating them and declares he’ll kill those who ruined his life. More goons appear, grabbing Kashvi and Meera. Devraj forces them to drink the poison, mockingly asking how it tastes. As Arjun searches for Meera, he asks a guard where she is. Raunaq Sir also arrives, looking for Kashvi. Arjun, concerned, asks Pradyuman if he’s seen Kashvi, but Pradyuman hasn’t. Arjun begins to worry.
Devraj orders Kashvi and Meera to open their mouths. Kashvi defiantly tells him that he won’t get away with this, but Devraj, full of confidence, claims no one can touch him as he’s the king. He declares he’ll kill all the officers and gives Kashvi and Meera what he calls “freedom” from their lives. He forces them to drink the poison, saying, “Now you’re free. Happy Independence Day!” As they fall to the ground, Kashvi assures Meera, “Nothing will happen to you,” before collapsing. Meera weakly calls out for Arjun.
Raunaq Sir notices Arjun is worried and asks what’s wrong. Arjun explains that neither Kashvi nor Meera is around. Pradyuman then taunts Arjun, suggesting he’s only concerned because they might be talking badly about him. Arjun, frustrated, loses his temper, but Raunaq Sir intervenes, asking them not to fight. Arjun decides to call Kashvi. She answers, weakly telling him that their lives are in danger and to come to the kitchen. Devraj, hearing this, grabs her phone and smashes it on the ground. Arjun, shocked, realizes the situation is dire. Devraj, furious, says, “This girl ruined my plan. We need to leave before her team arrives.” They flee the scene, leaving Kashvi and Meera unconscious on the floor.
Arjun quickly informs Pradyuman and the others that Kashvi is in serious danger. They all rush to the kitchen. As they enter, Devraj tries to escape but falls. Arjun, enraged, confronts him, demanding to know what he did to Kashvi. Raunaq Sir and Mahinder Sir restrain Arjun, urging him to save Kashvi instead. They drag Devraj away while Arjun hurries to the kitchen. He finds both Meera and Kashvi in critical condition. Mahinder Sir joins him, telling Arjun to take care of Meera while he attends to Kashvi. Spotting the poison bottle, Mahinder realizes that Devraj must have poisoned them. Arjun, distressed, grapples with the heartbreaking decision: both women are pregnant, but whom should he save?
