Yeh Hai Chahatein 19th August 2024 Episode Written Update: Pradyuman’s Sindoor Ceremony
The episode begins with Pandit Ji asking the groom to fill the bride’s forehead with sindoor, but Pradyuman suddenly appears and does it instead, leaving Arjun shocked. Mahima becomes nervous.
A Few Hours Earlier: Kashvi and Mahima arrive at a mass marriage ceremony. Kashvi asks Mahima about Chanchal’s whereabouts. Mahima says they’ll find her. Chanchal sends a message to Mahima, who tells Kashvi that Chanchal is in the changing room and that the man outside is her brother. Kashvi suggests they pretend to do Chanchal’s makeup. They convince the man and go inside. Chanchal, clearly upset, tells Kashvi she doesn’t want to get married and wants to study instead. Kashvi reassures her and promises to stop the wedding. She even offers Chanchal some food, but Mahima instead asks Kashvi if she has taken her medicine. Kashvi realizes she hasn’t, thanks Mahima, and takes her medicine with water.
Meanwhile, Arjun arrives at Mahinder’s house and asks the servant to call Kashvi. As Kashvi takes her medicine, she sees Arjun’s call but suddenly faints. Mahima checks on her and, with a sly smile, asks Chanchal to switch off Kashvi’s phone. Arjun, worried, assumes Pradyuman is behind it. Pradyuman confronts Arjun, claiming he has the right to stop him as he is Kashvi’s future husband. Arjun retorts that Kashvi doesn’t belong to him. Pradyuman calls security and has Arjun thrown out.
Mahima slaps Chanchal for not acting convincingly and criticizes her for nearly getting caught by Kashvi. She orders Chanchal not to question her and to hand over the bridal clothes. Chanchal asks if the wedding will happen right away. Mahima says she will get her younger sister married instead. When the groom arrives, Mahima refers to him as “Jija ji” (brother-in-law) and asks him how the bride is. The old man responds that seeing her makes him feel like he could live for another ten years. Mahima offers to help the bride get ready. Arjun decides to wait for Kashvi.
At home, Karun happily tells Meera that he did well on his exam and expects to be in the top three. Meanwhile, Nitya plans to have Karun hate Meera by sabotaging his exam results. She bribes a school peon to switch Karun’s exam paper.
Mahima dresses Kashvi for the wedding and covers the old man’s face with a sehra (wedding veil). She thinks to herself that Romila once taunted her, and now Kashvi too will have an old husband. This thought makes her smile.
Arjun decides to wait just ten more minutes. Meanwhile, Pradyuman is also waiting for Kashvi and tries calling her. At the mass marriage, Devansh arrives with the police and notices Kashvi as her veil slips. He quickly calls Arjun to inform him. Arjun asks him to stop the wedding, realizing that Kashvi is in danger. He rushes to save her. Pradyuman overhears this and wonders why Kashvi would marry in a mass ceremony, sensing something is wrong. He decides to go as well.
Back at the school, Nitya continues with her plan to ruin Karun’s exam results, hoping he will end up hating Meera.
At the wedding, Pandit Ji instructs the bride and groom to begin their rounds around the sacred fire. Mahima and Chanchal help the fainted Kashvi stand up and participate. Arjun arrives and desperately asks Devansh where Kashvi is, but Devansh is unsure due to the many couples present. Mahima and Chanchal make Kashvi complete the rounds. Afterward, Pandit Ji asks the groom to apply sindoor on the bride’s forehead. Just as the old man is about to do so, Arjun spots him and rushes to stop him. However, Pradyuman arrives just in time, pushes the old man aside, and fills Kashvi’s forehead with sindoor himself. He glares angrily at Mahima, leaving Arjun in shock.
