Varun Dhawan’s dog, Joey, is more than just a pet to him—he’s a beloved companion. The Baby John actor often shares pictures and videos of Joey on his social media, and fans can’t get enough of them. Recently, he shared a sweet video of Joey having a fun Sunday with his niece, Anjini Dhawan.
On August 11, Varun posted a video on his Instagram Story. In the clip, you can see Anjini sitting on the floor, playing with Joey. Varun is heard playfully saying, “Try your luck,” as Anjini asks if she can pick up Joey. The video is absolutely adorable. Along with the clip, Varun wrote, “Joey’s new (red heart),” and tagged Anjini.
Varun is set to make a cameo appearance in Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor. The film, which also features Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurrana, with a special appearance by Tamannaah Bhatia, will be released on August 15.
Varun has several exciting projects lined up. One of them is Baby John, where he will showcase his action skills. The film promises intense action, thrilling entertainment, and powerful performances. It also marks the Hindi film debut of Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, alongside Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav. Baby John is a musical by S Thaman and is presented by Jio Studios in association with Atlee and Cine1 Studios. Directed by Kalees, the film is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2024.
In addition to Baby John, Varun is also starring in Citadel: Honey Bunny with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Suresh Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul.
According to a source close to the project, as reported by Pinkvilla, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a family entertainer with a romantic backdrop, similar to the kinds of films Shashank has directed over the years. The film, much like typical Dharma Productions films, celebrates love with vibrant colors, music, and a strong star cast. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is scheduled for release on April 18, 2025.
