Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurrana, is one of the most awaited movies of 2024. As its release date approaches, the film has been given a U/A rating by the CBFC. The runtime has also been announced just before it competes with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein.
According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, Stree 2 received its U/A certification on August 8, 2024. The film, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has a runtime of 149 minutes and 29 seconds, which is about 2 hours and 29 minutes.
The trailer reveals the return of the Chanderi gang facing a new villain, Sarkata. Shraddha Kapoor returns as Vicky’s love interest, and this time, Sarkata threatens to kidnap all the village women. Vicky, played by Rajkummar Rao, takes on the role of Chanderi’s prince, determined to rescue his beloved and the other women.
The trailer also features Tamannaah Bhatia in a special dance number. Additionally, a new song release has confirmed that Varun Dhawan will make a special appearance in Stree 2.
Maddock Films announced on their official Instagram on June 14 that Stree 2 will be released on Independence Day, August 15. They posted, “Iss swatantrata diwas, aa rahi hai #Stree fir se!”
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, director Amar Kaushik hinted at the possibility of a Stree 3, saying, “There’s a chance. There are still stories to be told and characters to explore. We’ll decide after the release of Stree 2. There could be Stree 3, 4, and 5.”
Stree 2 is set to compete with Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2 and Akshay Kumar, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Vaani Kapoor’s Khel Khel Mein.
