Shrimad Ramayan 12th September 2024 Written Episode: Ram Goes Incognito as a Commoner
The episode starts with Ram and the pandit talking about the education system. A lady arrives, asking for Raja Ram’s help. She begs him to assist her. Ram asks the guard to bring her to the court with full respect. Meanwhile, Sita and her sisters are spending time with Kaushalya and Sumitra. Kaushalya tells them about Dasharath, sharing how he has always respected her. She narrates a story about how Dasharath once saved her life and then married her.
A servant curiously asks if Dasharath married her after she had been on the Asur’s island. Kaushalya replies yes, saying that Dasharath trusted her character. Sumitra scolds the servant, warning her to never ask such questions again. Sita, hearing this, starts thinking about her own Agni Pariksha.
The lady tells Ram her story—her husband abandoned her when she couldn’t return home at night due to a storm. She tearfully asks how she can prove her innocence and says she’s ready to die if justice isn’t served. Bharat suggests punishing the washerman who doubted her, but Ram asks if there’s anyone who can testify to her truth. She mentions a boatman who can confirm her story. The minister orders the guards to call the boatman. Ram, however, asks them to drop her back home, assuring her that he will investigate the matter with her husband.
Meanwhile, Shatrughan meets Vastak and learns more about the situation. Vastak claims that no one would dare question a king if such matters arise in the royal family. Shatrughan scolds him for his inappropriate words.
Sahasra Raavan is seen smiling, plotting something. Mahadev and Parvati discuss Sahasra Mukh Raavan’s plans. Ram talks to Sita about the people’s negative thoughts. Sita says they must help clean the people’s minds, and that Ayodhya will shine once again. She suggests they go out in disguise to understand the people’s troubles firsthand. She dresses Ram as a commoner, and he smiles. Ram appreciates her for always standing by him, and Sita prays for him as he heads to the village.
Ram arrives in the village and hears the people gossiping, which makes him sad. Meanwhile, Sita visits Kaushalya and Sumitra, expressing her wish to stay at a Rishi’s ashram for a few days. She explains that Ram promised to fulfill this wish, as she wants to learn valuable things there. Kaushalya supports her decision, saying a mother’s teachings are crucial for a child. Sumitra cautions her, reminding her that ashram life is tough, but Sita assures them that her experience during the vanvaas has prepared her.
In another part of the village, Vastak scolds the boatman, suggesting that Ram should throw him out. Ram witnesses people arguing and Bharat intervening, telling them to stop fighting and come to the royal court for justice. Ram sees Sahasra Raavan in the crowd and turns away, realizing he must make a difficult decision.
