Bollywood actress Sanjana Sanghi is steadily making a name for herself in the Indian film industry with her impressive projects. Along with working hard as an actress, she is also UNDP India’s Youth Champion. Recently, she achieved another milestone by becoming the youngest Indian actor to speak for the younger generation at the opening ceremony of the Summit of the Future Action Days at the United Nations.
The Dil Bechara star gave a powerful speech at the UN General Assembly Hall in New York City, becoming the youngest Indian actor to receive this honor. In her keynote speech, Sanjana delivered an important message, asking for a seat at the decision-making tables. She said, “For us to not just be inheritors of the future but the architects of it, all we ask is to be given a seat at the tables of change.”
The Dhak Dhak actress also mentioned, “We are the largest youth generation in history. While we are the present, we are also the future. As I stand here, opening the Summit of the Future Action Days, I speak on behalf of many young people around the world, voicing our shared hopes and aspirations.”
For those who don’t know, Sanjana has been advocating for youth issues for over a decade. Through various efforts, she has been leading initiatives for positive change. Recognizing her hard work, she was named UNDP India’s Youth Champion in 2023, and she has since become a global youth advocate.
Sanjana expressed her gratitude for the honor on social media, sharing a video from the event. In the caption, she wrote, “Immersed in profound gratitude to have been entrusted by the @unitednations to be the Keynote Speaker representing the voice of the youth, at the United Nations General Assembly for the opening ceremony of the Summit Of The Future.”
