Rupali Ganguly’s Shocking Transformation: From Sanjivani Vamp to Anupamaa

In Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly plays the role of a caring mother who values her self-respect. However, not many know that there was a time when she portrayed an iconic villain in the popular hospital drama Sanjivani. Her character, Simran, was quite dark, and today we’re taking a look back at that role.

An old clip from Sanjivani has been making rounds online, showing Rupali in her role as Dr. Simran. In the show, Simran’s sole mission was to ruin the life of her husband’s ex-girlfriend, Dr. Juhi, played by Gurdeep Kohli.

In the video, Rupali’s character confronts Dr. Juhi and says, “You envy me, don’t you? You know you can never take my place, Juhi. Never.” Dr. Juhi responds calmly, “Listen, I don’t want to take your place. I already have something no one can take—Rahul’s love.”

Dressed in a green saree, Rupali’s character becomes furious and yells, “Why are you doing all this?” To this, Juhi replies, “I don’t want anything, Simran. The love I have has filled the emptiness in my life. I don’t have any more desires.”

Still angry, Simran demands, “Then why do you keep coming back into our lives?” Juhi, showing Simran’s insecurity, says, “How scared are you of me, Simran? Things you take by force never bring peace.”

In the end, Rupali’s character declares, “As long as I am alive, you will never have Rahul.”

Now, fans of Rupali Ganguly can reflect on her different roles. Do you prefer her in Anupamaa, or did you enjoy her as the vamp in Sanjivani?
