Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar Meet Australian PM Anthony Albanese at IFFM 2024 – See Pics

Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar are in Australia for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. They have been making headlines with their recent photos with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and MP Tim Watts.

At the 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Karan Johar attended as a notable guest. Rani Mukerji celebrated 50 years of Yash Raj Films by unveiling a Yash Chopra stamp at the Australian Parliament. Both stars gave speeches at the Parliament in Canberra.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese shared a selfie with Rani and Karan from the event. He wrote, “Rani Mukerji and @karanjohar are in Canberra promoting the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. This festival is one of the largest Indian film festivals outside India and has been running for 15 years. It highlights Australia’s strong relationship with India and the vibrant Indian-Australian community.”

Australian MP Tim Watts also shared his excitement about meeting Rani and Karan at the Parliament House. He appreciated Karan for introducing him and thanked Rani for supporting the idea that he could star in Indian cinema. He also mentioned Shah Rukh Khan’s film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and noted that the festival has been an important link between Australia and Indian cinema.

Karan Johar shared a post on his Instagram stories, saying he enjoyed meeting Tim Watts. He also posted a photo with Rani Mukerji, captioning it, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Tina! Tum zaroor samjhogi! #ranimukherjee.” In the photo, Karan looked sharp in a black tuxedo, while Rani looked elegant in an off-white saree.

The event was attended by important figures, members of the Australian Parliament, and various ministers.
