Ranbir Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit’s song “Ghagra” from the 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is still loved by fans, even 11 years after its release. Although Madhuri had only a brief role in the movie, her chemistry with Ranbir was magical, and fans continue to hope for more collaborations between the two.
Recently, in an interview with Connect Cine, Madhuri Dixit was asked about the possibility of working with Ranbir Kapoor again, given how eagerly fans are waiting to see them together on screen after Ghagra. She responded with enthusiasm, saying, “Oh my god, yeah why not?” Madhuri praised Ranbir, calling him a wonderful actor and shared that they both had a great time shooting the song together. She mentioned that he puts his heart into both dancing and acting. “It’s a mutual admiration society. I love his work, and of course, if we get a chance to work together, I’d definitely love to do that,” Madhuri added.
Meanwhile, Madhuri’s 1994 film Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, which also starred Salman Khan, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and was re-released in theaters. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film is one of the most beloved musical romantic dramas of its time. It was a massive hit at the box office in 1994 and continued to enjoy popularity on television as well. Madhuri was last seen in the film Maja Ma on Amazon Prime Video, directed by Anand Tiwari, which also starred Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, and Barkha Singh.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal, released in December 2023, which was a huge box office success. His next project is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, also starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, set to release on Christmas 2025. Ranbir is also set to play Lord Rama in the upcoming ambitious project Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. This mega project will feature actors like Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Yash, and Lara Dutta in key roles. Additionally, a sequel to Animal titled Animal Park is also in the works.
