Actor Rajeev Sen accused his ex-wife Charu Asopa of separating him from their daughter and doubting her financial struggles. Charu answered his comments.
A viral video of TV starlet Charu Asopa selling clothes has made headlines. She said she moved from Mumbai to Bikaner, Rajasthan, with her daughter Ziana due to the high living expenses. Charu informed Rajeev before moving. Rajeev now accuses her of neglecting their child and questions her finances.
Rajeev Sen’s side
In a Hindustan Times interview, Rajeev stated that Charu has gotten adept at separating our daughter from him. Ziana is losing out, so I feel awful for her.”
He said he hadn’t seen Ziana since January, and Charu didn’t reply to his Bikaner visit. Rajeev feels ignored despite her offer to meet anytime.
He also questioned her finances. Rajeev respects her for beginning her apparel business but is surprised someone in financial distress could afford a family cruise. He also indicated her ambitions to buy a Bikaner property, which would be expensive even with a loan.
When asked about her everyday vlogs, Rajeev said she frequently travels and shops. He doesn’t appear to be struggling financially.”
Charu responds
Charu responded to Rajeev’s interview on Instagram Story with a scathing comment: “Wow, that’s lovely. For this man, everything I do is drama.”
In the same interview, Rajeev expressed concern that Charu is discussing their personal lives online and making material. For their daughter Ziana, his family forgave Charu and begged her to return, not to restore their relationship but to provide a safe and caring atmosphere.
What brought Charu to Bikaner?
Charu said living in Mumbai cost her Rs 1–1.5 lakh a month. She struggled to leave her daughter with a nanny during shoots. She informed Rajeev of her shift to Bikaner to achieve better work-life balance.
She runs an online apparel store to support herself and her daughter.
