Neha Rana, Neil Bhatt, and Kinshuk Mahajan are starring in the new show Megha Barsenge on Colors. Neha plays Megha, a bride who is left behind by her husband. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Neha shared her thoughts on working with Neil Bhatt and her feelings about the show’s storyline.
Neha Rana on Neil Bhatt and Bigg Boss 17
Neha was asked if she had followed Bigg Boss 17 and if she discussed it with Neil Bhatt. She replied, “I didn’t watch the whole season, but I did see a part where Neil answered questions about his wife, Aishwarya Sharma, including details about her makeup and jewelry.” She added, “Neil’s answers were so cute. You can really see how much they care for each other. I complimented him on that segment.”
Neha Rana on Playing Punjabi Characters
Neha, who previously played Elahi in Junooniyatt, is now portraying Megha, a Punjabi character, in Megha Barsenge. She said, “The fun part is that I’m from Punjab, so playing a Punjabi character comes naturally to me. I don’t have to put in extra effort.”

When asked about why she chose to be part of Megha Barsenge, Neha shared, “I was really moved by the story and the character when I heard the narration. It made me think about what I would do in Megha’s situation. The character goes through a lot of emotions but has to stay strong. Initially, I didn’t connect with her, but I was excited about the challenge and knew this was a unique role I had been waiting for.”
She continued, “Joining the show was the right decision. I get to work with amazing producers like Saurabh Tiwari, Sumit Sethi, and Keval Sethi, and especially our director, Sangeeta Rao. It’s great to work with a female director, which I haven’t experienced before. I’m thrilled about it, and our writers are doing a fantastic job. We’re all working hard to make the show great.”

Neha, although newer to the industry, is working with experienced actors Neil Bhatt and Kinshuk Mahajan. She said, “Neil and Kinshuk have been in the industry for a long time. I’ve learned from them how important it is to stay interested and involved in a project. Sometimes people lose their motivation, but Neil and Kinshuk stay enthusiastic, and I’ve picked that up from them.”
She added, “I always rehearse my scenes well and try to add improvisations. I’m grateful that both Neil and Kinshuk support me in preparing for scenes. It’s been wonderful working with them.”
