Formerly married to Rajeev Sen and mother to Ziana, TV actress Charu Asopa has opened up about her personal life. Recently, she said she was struggling financially after relocating back to Rajasthan from Mumbai due to high living costs. When Rajeev questioned her assertions, Charu responded strongly.
Charu discusses finances
Charu told ETimes that non-strugglers comment easily. She said,
People who haven’t experienced hardships don’t understand life’s challenges. They don’t understand debts or financial strain like middle-class individuals.
She said Rajeev doesn’t understand her struggles because he hasn’t had them.
Charu answered Rajeev’s claim that she was denying him access to their daughter, Ziana. She said,
“Why is he saying that? Even after our divorce, I’ve tried to maintain our relationship. I’ve kept in touch with him and his family, unlike many. Hearing this now makes me laugh.”
Cruise vacation accusation
Charu said she’s struggling financially, but Rajeev paid for a cruise with her family. Charu said she didn’t pay for the brand cooperation trip.
“Even a blind person can tell it was collaborative. I spent nothing. It was a promotion.”
She said she had been selling items privately for a year to sustain herself until her viral video became viral.

Charu claimed she dislikes public drama in her personal life.

She said she returned to Mumbai recently to get her valuable items. She clarified that she’s not living a lavish life, as some may imagine.
