Mera Balam Thanedaar Written Episode Update 16th August 2024: Bulbul’s Durga Avatar Revealed
The episode begins with Bulbul finding Veer being held captive by Meethi Mai. She notices the fake sadhus sleeping, remembering how she put sleeping pills in their tea. She calls out to Veer, who is surprised and emotional to see her. Bulbul frees him from the chair, and they hug, both crying. Veer tenderly touches her cheek, rests his head on hers, and kisses her forehead. Bulbul reminds him of his promise not to risk his life and tells him how worried she was. Veer reassures her, saying she was always with him in spirit. She asks about the others, and Veer tells her they are fine, praying for his safe return, and aware of Meethi Mai’s true nature. He warns that Meethi Mai is not just a fraud, but also very dangerous, and urges Bulbul to leave. Bulbul insists they should go home together and deal with Meethi Mai later. She also mentions that there is someone who looks like him working for Meethi Mai.
Veer then reveals Meethi Mai’s plan to ruin his reputation using the imposter. Bulbul urges him to leave with her, but Veer explains that the ashram is covered with CCTV cameras and guarded by Meethi Mai’s men, making it impossible to escape. He asks Bulbul to leave and fulfill her duty as the wife of an IPS officer by informing the Commissioner and Dhruv about Meethi Mai’s plan, including the secret code “Midnight” and the date of the planned attack, August 15. Bulbul remembers finding the date in a chip that Veer had hidden in her locket. Veer tells her to hand the chip to the Commissioner and emphasizes that if he escapes now, Meethi Mai will change her plan. He pleads with Bulbul to go and save the nation, saying that if he can’t save people, he would rather die than live with the guilt. Bulbul reluctantly climbs a ladder and leaves.
As the fake sadhu turns on the lights, Meethi Mai finishes the aarti and notices Bulbul standing there. She offers Bulbul aarti, and Bulbul silently thanks God for getting back in time. Meethi Mai smiles, recalling how she saw Bulbul going to meet Veer through a hidden CCTV camera in her room. She signals the imposter Veer and approaches the real Veer, taunting him by saying she will warm her hands by the fire he started and that both he and his wife think they are clever. She tells Veer that she will show him live how his wife will be punished and that he will be helpless to stop it. Veer watches as the imposter calls out to Bulbul, mocking her for missing her husband and inviting her to hug him. Veer tries to warn Bulbul that she is mistaken, but she calls the imposter a fake and says that while he may have stolen her husband’s face, he can never steal his honor.
When the imposter grabs her hand, Bulbul tells him to back off, calling him a “Nakhal ji bandar” and saying he’s not even close to her husband. Meethi Mai orders Veer to close his eyes if he can’t bear to watch but to listen to his wife’s screams. Bulbul, however, fights back, pushing the imposter to the ground. The imposter tells her to forget about her husband, but Bulbul grabs a can of kerosene and throws it on him. The kerosene burns through his mask, and he is forced to remove it. Bulbul tells him that he isn’t worthy to stand in her husband’s shadow and that her husband would break his bones. The imposter then tries to choke Bulbul, causing Veer to worry. Bulbul spots some sindoor (vermilion) nearby and throws it in the imposter’s face, grabs a trishul (trident), and threatens him with it. Meethi Mai and her men are stunned. Bulbul declares that as the wife of IPS Veer Pratap Singh, she knows how to deal with men like him. She warns that he has seen her as Saumya, but now he will see her as Durga. She places her foot on his chest and threatens to kill him with the trishul. The imposter begs for mercy, while Veer laughs, and Meethi Mai and her men look on in shock.
