Mera Balam Thanedaar 20th September 2024 Written Episode Update: Drishti enquires with Devender about the secret
The episode begins with Drishti telling Gita that she had mentioned Bulbul is underage. Gita is confused and says that if Bulbul was a minor, she wouldn’t have been married. She adds that Bulbul will turn 19 in a few days. Drishti says that Kishori Aunty had told her both Gita and Kishori gave birth on the same day, and Kishori’s daughter is turning 18 soon. Gita explains that she took Bulbul for her first-year vaccination back then, and Kishori, who was in pain, might have mixed things up because Bulbul was weak at that time. Gita begs Drishti not to ruin Bulbul’s marriage.
Veer, on the other hand, tells Bulbul that they should get married again in front of everyone, including his mother. He asks her if she would marry him again and promises to stay with her forever. He says he didn’t register their first marriage, but he will do it this time. Bulbul thinks to herself that she is a minor. She holds his hand for the sake of everyone’s happiness, though she is worried. Drishti notices Bulbul’s uneasiness. Veer then says he needs Bulbul’s birth certificate to register the marriage and asks Gita to get it from her father. Drishti becomes suspicious and decides to uncover the truth. She leaves with a smile, while everyone is happy for Bulbul and Veer.
Bulbul tells Gita that if their marriage is registered, Veer will be in trouble because she is still underage. She suggests telling Veer the truth. Gita reassures her, saying she will turn 18 in a few weeks, but warns her to be careful because Drishti is already suspicious. Gita says she has managed to calm Drishti for now, but she won’t stay quiet for long, leaving Bulbul worried.
Later, Drishti goes to Devender’s house with a bottle of expensive wine. She tries to convince him that she cares for him more than her in-laws. She silently plots against Bulbul. Bulbul, meanwhile, is worried that Drishti will expose the truth in a way that makes her look bad. Bulbul wants to come clean to Veer, but Gita makes her promise not to take any drastic steps. Bulbul agrees and says they need to stop Drishti somehow.
Drishti makes Devender drink too much. Bulbul, noticing that Drishti is not home, asks Gita if they can go to Devender’s house. Gita agrees. Sulakshana, another family member, arrives and apologizes to Gita for doubting her parenting. She praises Bulbul and assures Gita that everything will be fine as long as Bulbul is with her.
At Devender’s house, Drishti gets him drunk and asks for Bulbul’s birth certificate. Devender, thinking he’s being clever, shows it to her. Drishti checks it and sees that Bulbul is listed as almost 19. She asks if Bulbul is really 18. Devender, feeling boastful, starts to tell her a secret but passes out before he can finish.
Drishti realizes she shouldn’t have made him drink so much. Gita and Bulbul arrive at the house. Bulbul sees Devender asleep and thinks he hasn’t revealed anything to Drishti. Drishti says she was just there for something else. Bulbul takes the birth certificate, pretending to keep it safe from the rain, and Drishti suspects there is more to the story. Drishti thinks Bulbul is hiding something and vows to uncover the truth.
