Megha Barsenge 20th August 2024 Written Episode: Megha’s Brave Stand
The episode begins with Goldie making a video of Megha’s Pagphere ceremony. Megha greets the neighbors, and Jassi’s mom arrives, hugging Megha warmly. A lady nearby makes a snide comment to Jassi’s mom, telling her to keep Jassi locked up at home. Then she turns to Megha and asks when she’s going to Georgia and where Manoj is. Goldie quickly responds that Manoj will come tomorrow to pick up Megha. The lady sarcastically remarks that Manoj left without taking Megha along, which makes Megha feel sad. Ranjeeta steps in, explaining that Megha and the family convinced Manoj to go ahead for his job. The lady continues to taunt, comparing Manoj to Jassi’s husband Gurpreet, who used a similar excuse. Megha firmly replies that her father wanted a simple marriage ceremony, and she defends Manoj, telling the lady off. The lady argues back, but Megha asks her to leave.
The next morning, Surinder is worried, searching for Megha. Ranjeeta tries to reassure him, saying there’s no need to worry. Surinder notes that Megha has been stressed since the previous day. Meanwhile, Megha is at the hospital. She inquires about bills under the names Kavita, Manoj, and Sadanand, but the hospital staff find no records. Megha spots a doctor and rushes to ask him about the situation. The doctor doesn’t recall anything and advises her to check with the billing department. As she gets a call from Ranjeeta, Megha decides to return home. She lies to Surinder about where she has been.
Surinder, sensing her distress, gently confronts her. He tells Megha that she’s learned to lie to him and acknowledges her fear. Megha breaks down and hugs him. Surinder tries to comfort her, advising her to stand by her husband and not to worry about what others say. He asks if there’s anything else bothering her, but she says no. Meanwhile, Goldie is still focused on making his video, and Megha hugs him. Kripal arrives with gift bags, and Riya offers to go with them, but Goldie declines. Megha then hugs Surinder before leaving with Kripal.
They arrive at Manoj’s house and ring the doorbell. Kohli, who is drunk, answers the door and then wanders off. Megha asks him where Kavita is, and Kohli tells her that Kavita went to sleep because she wasn’t feeling well. Megha decides to make some food for Kripal. Kohli agrees and goes to his room. When Megha and Kripal enter the kitchen, they find it in a mess with no food available. Megha offers to clean up and cook, but Kripal says he was only joking and that he should leave. Megha reassures him, explaining that Kavita is unwell, and promises to cook for him next time. Kripal tells her not to worry and promises not to tell anyone about the situation. They share a hug.
Megha tries calling Manoj, but his phone is switched off. She then goes to talk to Kavita, knocking on her door. Inside, Kavita pretends to be unwell and hides some food. Kohli opens the door and asks Megha what she wants. Megha explains that she received a message about 10 lakh rupees being debited from her account and sent to the wrong person. Kohli brushes it off, suggesting it might be a bank error. Megha shares that she checked with the hospital, but they had no record of Kavita’s surgery, and even the doctor was unhelpful. Kohli becomes defensive, accusing Megha of calling them liars and coming to blame them. Megha insists she just wants to know where the money went. Kohli, now angry, admits they took the money and yells at Megha for questioning them. Megha, scared, falls back and starts crying. Kavita, trying to calm things down, tells Megha not to be afraid and that Kohli is just drunk. She advises Megha to go to her room while she rests. Megha, shaken, runs to her room and cries.
