Manoj Bajpayee’s Heartfelt Tribute to Sharmila Tagore After National Award Win

Manoj Bajpayee is thrilled after winning another National Award for his film Gulmohar. The movie, directed by Rahul V. Chittella, won three awards at the 70th National Film Awards. It received honors for Best Hindi Film and Best Dialogues. Manoj Bajpayee also got a special mention from the jury for his outstanding performance.

In a recent interview with Showsha, Manoj Bajpayee shared his excitement about the award and talked about his conversation with his co-star, the legendary Sharmila Tagore. He said, “When Sharmila ji and I talked after hearing the news, it was a moment of shared pride and happiness. Working with her on this film was a great honor, and seeing Gulmohar recognized like this feels like all our hard work paid off.”

Manoj described Gulmohar as a special film that touched him deeply. He said this achievement means a lot to him and that it’s both rewarding and humbling to see the film getting such recognition.

He also reminisced about his early days in Mumbai, recalling how every National Award win reminds him of his hopeful start in the city. “Every time I win a National Award, I think back to those early days in Mumbai when I was just a young man with dreams,” Bajpayee said.

He acknowledged that his journey has been challenging but rewarding. The awards remind him of why he started and how far he has come. Manoj described his journey as incredible and said it makes him grateful for the opportunities he has had and the people who have supported him.

For those who don’t know, Manoj Bajpayee has previously won the National Award for Satya as Best Supporting Actor, a Special Jury Award for Pinjar, and in 2021, he won Best Actor for Bhonsle.
