Mangal Lakshmi Written Episode Update – 2nd September 2024: Saumiya’s Food Order Raises Questions
Sanjana asks Lakshmi, “Did you sleep in a separate room?” Gayatri quickly responds, saying Karthik has a viral infection, so Lakshmi slept elsewhere. Sanjana seems suspicious and says, “But I just met him, and he seems fine.” Gayatri tells Lakshmi to go to her room, but Sanjana continues, “What you did will come back to you.” Gayatri retorts, “Be thankful I let you stay here.” Sanjana accuses Gayatri of trying to keep Lakshmi and Karthik apart, and Lakshmi overhears this.
Saumiya starts cooking but realizes she can’t handle making food for seven people, so she decides to order food instead. She instructs the delivery rider to come to the back, where she plans to take the food from the window. While waiting, she takes selfies in the kitchen. Meanwhile, the kids are playing with Adit. Saumiya sends Adit a selfie, and he smiles. Ishana notices and asks, “Is this a joke?” Adit reacts sharply, “Don’t touch my phone again.” Sudesh tries to calm him down, but Adit insists, “It’s about manners.”
Mangal enters the room and comments, “There’s too much water in the flour.” Just then, the delivery rider arrives, and Saumiya quickly says, “Please leave; Auntie will be mad if she sees you.” Mangal tries to check the food, but Kusum intervenes, asking what’s going on. Saumiya explains, “I can’t cook if I’m distracted.” Adit tries to defend her, saying, “Let her cook in peace.” Finally, Mangal leaves, and Saumiya retrieves the food from the rider, accidentally dropping the bill.
Lakshmi goes to see Karthik, but he ignores her. She asks, “Why aren’t you talking to me?” He simply says, “You wrote it in the note.” Confused, Lakshmi asks, “What note?” Just then, they hear Gayatri screaming in pain. She has a sprain, and Lakshmi quickly applies medicine to her foot. Gayatri tells Karthik, “Go for your recording; Lakshmi is here with me. Don’t worry.” Karthik reluctantly leaves.
Ishana suggests they order food, but Mangal reminds her, “You get allergic.” Akshar says, “I only like the food you cook.” Mangal then tells Ishana that Saumiya is cooking today. Ishana, suspicious, asks, “Why is Saumiya still here and not going back home?” Mangal tries to call Shalini, but her husband answers and rudely tells her not to call again.
Saumiya serves the food, and Adit is impressed, saying, “You made so many dishes! I’m impressed.” Akshar wants cookies, and Adit encourages him, “Go ahead, eat it.” Saumiya mentions she made khichdi for Uncle. Kusum, noticing the effort, asks, “Did you make all this?” Saumiya admits, “Yes, I learned how.” Mangal praises her, “You learned while working, that’s amazing.” Saumiya, feeling guilty, confesses, “I didn’t make all of this myself.” Adit reassures her, “You did it; you should be proud. You’re not illiterate like some people who think cooking is all they can do.” Saumiya asks Mangal, “Don’t you like it?” Mangal replies, “It’s great.”
Later that night, Ishana has an allergic reaction and screams in pain. Kusum asks, “Did you eat with your friends?” Ishana replies, “No, I was home all day.” Mangal gives her medicine and then questions Saumiya, “Did you add white flour to the food?” Saumiya denies it, but Mangal insists on checking. In the process, Saumiya notices a bill under Mangal’s foot. Adit points out, “Mangal, there’s something in your food.” Mangal picks it up and realizes it’s a bill with their home address and phone number. Saumiya tries to make a call, but Mangal stops her, accusing her, “Did you order all the food? Everything was delivered from outside.” Everyone is shocked as Mangal reveals the bill.
