Mangal Lakshmi Written Episode Update 15th August 2024: Mayank and Saumiya’s Love Story Takes a Leap
The episode begins with Adit waiting for Saumiya. He wonders where she is and hopes she arrives before everyone else. When Saumiya finally shows up, Adit notices she’s dressed up and thinks she might be in a good mood. However, Saumiya’s parents arrive as well, which surprises Adit. He hides and wonders why she brought them along. As Saumiya looks around for Adit, his own family arrives too. Mangal, a family member, spots Saumiya and says hello, surprised to see her. Shalini, another family member, realizes that Saumiya and Mangal know each other. Mangal is shocked to learn that Saumiya is Shalini’s daughter. Kusum, another relative, comments that Saumiya seems very different from her mother. Shalini then reveals that Mangal was the one who brought the marriage proposal for Saumiya. Kusum remarks that there must be a reason behind this coincidence.
Suddenly, Mayank enters, leaving Adit shocked. Mangal introduces Mayank to Saumiya, and they exchange greetings. Adit becomes suspicious, thinking Mangal set up the whole situation. Mangal asks about Adit’s whereabouts, and Saumiya expresses hope that he’s nearby. They ask for a table, and the waiter mentions that Adit was there but seems to have left. Kusum reassures everyone that Adit is probably around and just got a phone call. They decide to sit down.
As they settle in, Mangal comments that Mayank and Saumiya make a good couple. Kusum adds that Saumiya is a successful, nice girl. Adit, who is hiding, starts to panic and wonders what he should do. Kusum continues, saying that Saumiya and Mayank will be happy together, even though Saumiya can’t cook but is good at ordering food. Mangal jokes that Saumiya will learn, just as he did after getting married. He praises Saumiya’s dedication and hard work. At the table, Mayank and Saumiya end up ordering the same dish, further impressing Mangal.
Mangal tries to call Adit, but his phone, hidden behind a sofa, starts ringing, causing Adit to panic. Mangal brushes it off, thinking Adit is just busy. He mentions that Adit would be pleased to see that Saumiya is considering Mayank. Shalini suggests that Mayank and Saumiya should sit together at another table, but Saumiya says they are fine where they are. Mayank then invites Saumiya to sit with him.
As Adit tries to sneak away, he bumps into a waiter, catching Saumiya’s attention. She tells Mayank that she doesn’t need to know him better because if Mangal and Kusum approve of him, she’s happy too. This shocks Adit. Saumiya continues, saying that she feels they connect well and that she got a good vibe from him. If Mayank still wants to talk, she’s open to it. Kusum is surprised at how wise Saumiya has become. Mayank agrees, saying he also feels a good connection. They both agree to move forward with the relationship. Kusum and Mangal congratulate them, and Saumiya receives blessings. Mayank wishes Adit had been there, but Saumiya insists they shouldn’t wait and should proceed before sunset. Mayank mentions that his parents would have been happy to see this, and Mangal reassures him that they are likely blessing him from above.
Shalini expresses her happiness, saying that Mangal brought such good news into their lives. She admits she never thought a man would like Saumiya this much, and Kusum confesses that she didn’t initially like Saumiya either, but grew to appreciate her after getting to know her better. Mayank praises Mangal, while Kusum notes that most men these days prefer working women over homemakers.
Saumiya offers sweets to Mayank, while Adit, watching from afar, gets increasingly angry. Mangal wishes Adit could see how happy everyone is. Adit then quietly sneaks out.
In the next scene, Kusum shares the news of Mayank and Saumiya’s proposal with Gayatri and Karthik. They all agree that the couple would be a good match and that Saumiya will learn with time. Lakshmi is surprised at how quickly Saumiya agreed. Adit arrives home, and Mangal eagerly tells him about the day’s events, expecting him to be happy. However, Adit says he’s not feeling well and needs to rest. Kusum asks what’s wrong, and Adit blames it on something he ate, saying he had an upset stomach. Mangal offers to make tea, but Adit declines and says he just needs medicine.
Mayank asks where Adit was, but Adit only repeats that he needs rest. Kusum then teases him to guess who they matched Mayank with, hinting that she is someone close to Adit. Mangal reveals it’s Saumiya, and that she and Mayank like each other. He offers Adit some sweets, but Adit angrily shoves them away and tells everyone to stop, leaving them all shocked.
