Lakshmi calls Kusum, who then speaks to Mangal. Mangal mentions that she can’t find her phone anywhere. Mayank arrives, and everyone compliments him on how good he looks. Adit says he’ll go directly to the venue because he has some work to do. As he leaves, Mangal holds his hand and asks him to help tie Mayank’s turban. Adit is reluctant, saying he doesn’t have time and can’t leave his job for such things. Kusum reminds him that Mayank is his friend, so Adit agrees to tie the turban but insists he’ll leave right after. Mayank excitedly tells Adit how happy he is to marry Saumiya. Mangal performs an arti for Mayank, who thanks her, saying he feels lucky to be marrying Saumiya. Adit ties Mayank’s turban.
Suddenly, the doorbell rings, and Mangal opens the door to find Saumiya, dressed as a bride. Everyone is shocked, and Adit looks scared. Saumiya rushes in, hugs Adit, and starts crying, begging him to stop the wedding because she doesn’t want to marry Mayank. Kusum questions Saumiya’s sanity, but Saumiya keeps pleading for someone to stop the wedding. Shanti angrily pushes Saumiya and slaps her, asking if she has any shame and how she dared to hug Adit. Saumiya’s cheek bleeds, and she faints. Mangal screams and tries to wake her up, but Saumiya doesn’t respond.
Everyone rushes Saumiya to the hospital, where they realize she has slit her wrist. They are all shocked. Mangal recalls the earlier scene and questions Adit about why Saumiya hugged him and cried, saying she didn’t want to marry Mayank. Mayank is in shock, and Adit leaves to fill out the hospital forms.
Shanti confronts Kusum, asking how she let this happen and what is going on between Adit and Saumiya. She’s baffled that Saumiya had the nerve to hug Adit in front of everyone. Kusum admits she’s shocked too. Mayank, confused and hurt, asks Mangal why Saumiya did this and says that if she didn’t like him, she could have just said no. Mangal remembers that Saumiya used to talk about a fiancé but didn’t know who it was. She thought that chapter was over when Saumiya agreed to marry Mayank. Mangal blames herself, but Mayank reassures her, saying it’s not her fault and that he hopes Saumiya gets better. He reflects that couples are made in heaven but is still confused about why Saumiya hugged Adit. He feels shocked and says that life taught him a big lesson today.
Meanwhile, a band arrives outside the house, but Kusum asks them to leave. Shanti tells Kusum not to take out her anger on the band, saying she should have controlled her son. Shanti criticizes Saumiya for not just saying no to the marriage if she didn’t want it, instead of causing such a scene. Sudesh tries to calm Shanti down, while Kusum says she’ll respond when she has answers herself.
