Lakshmi Narayan Written Episode Update 7th August 2024: Prahlad Unwavering Dedication
Scene 1
Kayadu tells Prahlad she can’t bear to see him in trouble all the time. He says miracles can happen. She says he doesn’t know his father well and urges him to make a wise decision by tomorrow. Begging him, she says, “The Lord of this world is Hiranyakashipu. If you want to make your mother happy, you will say that tomorrow.” She cries and leaves.
Prahlad, also crying, is torn between his mother’s tears and his loyalty to Narayan. Narayan and Lakshmi appear disguised as commoners. He asks if his mother sent them. Lakshmi wipes his tears, and he says, “My mother doesn’t understand me. If Narayan is with me, nothing will happen to me.” Lakshmi reassures him, “You are smart, so don’t worry.” He lays his head in her lap, and Narayan massages his feet. Lakshmi sings a hymn to Narayan, and he falls asleep. Devshi sees this and realizes that the Lord cannot bear to see his followers in pain.
Scene 2
In the morning, Prahlad wakes up surrounded by Asurs in the meeting area. They all chant for Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyakashipu asks Prahlad about his decision. Kayadu urges Prahlad to chant for Lord Hiranyakashipu and come to her, expressing her love for him. Prahlad responds, “I love you, my father, and Narayan.” Hiranyakashipu becomes angry. Prahlad continues, “I can’t lose Narayan’s love for my father’s love. I know my father is strong and people see him as their Lord, but my heart doesn’t accept that. Even when Hiranyakashipu isn’t there to protect people, they are still protected because Narayan is their real Lord and won’t let anything happen to his loyal followers.” Hiranyakashipu shouts for him to shut up and declares that Prahlad will never chant Narayan’s name again. Prahlad responds, “I don’t chant his name against you but because he is my Lord. I will chant his name even if you take my life. You can silence me, but you can’t take him out of my heart.” Hiranyakashipu orders him to be put in jail.
Lakshmi tells Narayan they must end Hiranyakashipu’s cruelty. Narayan says his time will come. Lakshmi asks why Narayan doesn’t act now to stop Prahlad’s suffering. Narayan explains, “His sins haven’t crossed the limits yet. We give sinners a chance until the end. Maybe Hiranyakashipu will change and feel love for his son.”
Hiranyakashipu tells Prahlad he will be punished for defying him and asks Shukar for a suitable punishment. Shukar suggests death. Hiranyakashipu tells Prahlad he gave him everything but was betrayed. He demands that Prahlad promise never to chant Narayan’s name again. Prahlad responds, “I love you a lot, but I can’t accept this.”
