Kumkum Bhagya Written Episode Update – 9th September 2024: Family’s Secret Plan
The episode begins with Harleen expressing concern about where Poorvi could have gone. Dadi is puzzled and asks how Poorvi could disappear like that. Harleen speculates that Poorvi might have found some proof. Deepika overhears this and rushes to Monisha, warning her that their mother suspects Poorvi has found evidence against Nethra. Monisha remains calm, saying her eyes are on Nethra and that there’s nothing to worry about.
They see Neha returning with Poorvi and the others. Yug asks Harman what happens if someone drinks truth serum. Neha asks the pandit to begin the engagement ceremony. As the pandit starts chanting mantras, Sahil picks up the tray containing the truth serum. Yug whispers that he’ll make the tray fall, but Vikrant stops him, saying the serum has been diluted. Sahil offers the drink to Neha, and despite Diya advising her not to drink, Neha insists and drinks the serum. Yug nervously mentions that Neha has now consumed the truth serum. Sahil quietly tells Neha that he will be by her side. The pandit then asks Neha and RV to exchange rings.
Poorvi hands the ring to Neha, while Jassi watches anxiously. As Neha prepares to put the ring on RV, she begins to feel dizzy. Monisha notices and asks RV to remove the ring from his finger, which Poorvi had placed earlier. Neha tries to put the ring on RV, but she loses her balance and falls while holding RV’s hand. Everyone looks concerned. Jassi runs after Sahil, while RV explains that Neha might just be tired and offers to take her to a guest room to rest. Poorvi agrees.
Meanwhile, Harman, Jaswant, Vikrant, and Dadu discuss the effects of the truth serum, suspecting it’s beginning to work. Dadi asks where they’re all going, and Dadu deflects, telling her that they can join them if they wish. Harleen invites them to eat, but she’s clearly suspicious. Harleen then remarks that they’re repeating the mistake Poorvi made earlier, and Harman suggests they should reveal their plan.
Outside, Monisha confronts Sahil, accusing him of trying to stop Neha’s engagement. Sahil insists he has no interest in Neha and claims he’s not here for her. Monisha warns him that if he doesn’t leave, she’ll call the police, saying that even Neha won’t be able to save him now. Sahil and Jassi exchange words, with Sahil eventually leaving.
Back in the room, RV worries that Neha has fainted because she drank too much of the serum. Soham calls Diya, and Poorvi tells Diya to go talk to him. Poorvi and RV realize they need to make Neha confess the truth. RV asks Nethra why she’s done all this, but Poorvi insists they wait until Neha is more conscious. They sit Neha down in a chair, and Poorvi suggests giving her water. As RV leaves to fetch water, Poorvi starts searching Neha’s bag. She finds an ID card revealing that Neha’s real name is Neha Singh, not Nethra Rai Singh. Poorvi demands that Neha confess her real identity, and Neha admits that she’s not an actress but a bar dancer who lies about being an actress.
Meanwhile, Dadu, Harman, and Jaswant explain to Harleen and Vaishali that they didn’t want to keep secrets but were trying to make the plan work. Harleen expresses frustration, feeling left out of their family plan. She says they should have included the family from the start. Vaishali agrees, asking what harm it would have caused if they had known earlier. Dadi points out that the family suspected something was going on all along. Harleen presses Vikrant for answers, and he finally admits that they used truth serum to try to get Nethra to confess the truth.
Dadi, surprised, asks what truth serum is. Dadu explains that once someone drinks it, they can’t lie. Vikrant shares that Yug tried giving Neha the truth serum but wasn’t sure if she actually drank it. Harman adds that RV and Poorvi are likely getting her confession now. Deepika is shocked and tries to sneak away to warn Monisha, pretending she’s going to get water.
Back with Neha, Poorvi asks her again to state her name. Neha, still under the effects of the serum, says her real name is Neha Singh. Poorvi then asks her if she really wants to marry RV, and Neha responds, “No.”
