Kumkum Bhagya Written Episode Update – 2nd September 2024: Neha Drops a Bombshell
The episode starts with RV asking Poorvi if she signed the divorce papers. Poorvi says she isn’t sure, but she knows she wouldn’t have divorced him. She walks away but then comes back to RV. He asks why she doesn’t want to give him a divorce. Poorvi says it’s because she doesn’t want to. She admits she doesn’t fully understand their relationship now or what it will become in the future, but she feels connected to it. It makes her feel less alone, and she doesn’t want to lose that. RV agrees, saying he feels the same way.
Meanwhile, Jassi calls Monisha, who picks up the phone, pretending she’s asleep. Jassi questions why Monisha signed the papers when their work isn’t finished yet. Monisha replies that they got the signatures on the divorce papers, but Jassi warns her that this is just a small step. Monisha reminds him that he was celebrating at Nethra’s house, acting as if they had already won. Jassi says they still need to separate RV and Poorvi, but Monisha gets annoyed and tells him to stop bossing her around. She insists they are equal partners in this plan to break up RV and Poorvi and bring Nethra into RV’s life.
Dushyant arrives and slaps Monisha, blaming her for all the problems RV is facing. He says he spoke to her mother and came to confront her. He scolds Monisha for the trouble she has caused RV, who is supposed to be her future husband. Monisha tries to explain that she felt helpless because RV was getting close to Poorvi, and she feared he would never marry her. Dushyant tells her that what she did was wrong. Monisha, however, argues that she can’t live without RV, she loves him deeply, and everything she’s done is because she wants to be a part of his life and his family. She asks Dushyant for his support, but he leaves without responding, leaving her in tears.
Later, Poorvi and Vaishali are working in the kitchen when Nethra comes in. Nethra tells them she’s going to marry RV and take over Poorvi’s place in the household. She wants to learn everyone’s preferences right away so she can take care of the family. Poorvi confronts her, saying that until she’s actually married to RV, she has no rights in the house. Nethra argues back, but Poorvi stands firm, saying that in this house, rights are earned through relationships, not just by signing papers. Nethra dismisses her and says she’ll take tea to Harleen aunty and expects Poorvi and Vaishali to join her upstairs. After Nethra leaves, Vaishali worries that Nethra is planning to throw Poorvi out of the house, which makes Poorvi feel sad.
Neha then appears and tells Deepika to come to RV’s mom’s room. RV is surprised to see them there. Neha cheerfully announces that she’s the bahu (daughter-in-law) of the house now and has come to share some good news. She says that the date for the marriage has been set, with two options: one in seven days and another in twenty days, and she wants the family to decide. Harman is shocked, asking why she wants to rush the engagement and marriage. Vaishali also questions why Neha is in such a hurry. Neha insists that there’s no point in waiting, especially since there’s a court case coming up. She wants the engagement to happen right away and the wedding to follow soon after. RV protests, saying he needs more time, but Neha pressures him, warning that the court case could make things difficult for the whole family if they don’t act quickly. Poorvi silently agrees with Neha, which further confuses and frustrates RV.
Monisha later calls Neha to praise her for arranging the engagement and wedding dates so quickly. Neha credits Jassi for teaching her how to handle things and says she’s loyal to him. Monisha tries to convince Neha to side with her instead of Jassi, arguing that she has more class and money, but Neha dismisses her, saying they’ll discuss it later. Monisha is left feeling threatened, thinking that Neha could become a problem for her.
Harleen confronts Poorvi, accusing her of ruining RV’s life and the family’s happiness. She doesn’t understand why Poorvi supported Neha and feels that Poorvi’s actions are causing all the problems. Vaishali also scolds Poorvi, regretting that they ever married her to RV. Deepika and Vaishali continue to blame Poorvi for the family’s troubles. RV tries to defend Poorvi, saying that her intentions were not bad, but the family doesn’t listen. Harleen says that RV is only arguing with them because of Poorvi and that Poorvi is the reason for all the chaos. Deepika takes this opportunity to further turn the family against Poorvi.
