Kumkum Bhagya Written Episode Update 9th August 2024: Poorvi Bold Move in Press Conference
The episode begins with Yug mentioning that he was in Bangalore during a difficult time. Diya arrives and smiles. RV asks Diya if something happened and if Soham has done anything wrong. Yug is curious, and RV explains that Soham had called off the engagement. Yug says it’s actually good, as a true partner doesn’t leave during tough times. He assures that Poorvi will always have his brother by her side. Diya happily reveals that the engagement is back on, thanks to Jiju. Yug is pleased, and Poorvi and Diya leave. Yug then questions RV on why he agreed to the engagement again. RV says he misunderstood Poorvi at first, but now sees that she is a good person and believes Soham might change. RV then walks away, leaving Yug wondering whose side RV is really on.
Later, RV comes downstairs, and Poorvi tells him she didn’t want the press conference to go this way. RV reassures her that she doesn’t need to worry, and he won’t blame her. Deepika wishes Monisha was there to fix everything as she usually does and protect RV. She reminds RV of how Monisha always took care of things for him. Just then, Raman enters and introduces himself to Poorvi, asking if they are ready for the press conference. Meanwhile, Monisha is getting ready and tells Roshni that she plans to settle scores with everyone today, especially making Harleen regret slapping her.
As the press conference begins, Raman comments that no one greeted him but says he doesn’t mind. He talks about how reporting should be done with perfect timing. The other reporters join, and Raman mentions that the conference is live, which surprises RV. Raman continues to make sarcastic remarks. Monisha shows up and assures Harleen that she will fix everything. RV then opens the floor for questions. Poorvi asks the reporters to stick to the facts. One reporter asks RV if he met Neha before the party. RV clarifies that he met Nethra at the party, not Neha. The reporter insists her name is Neha, but RV explains she introduced herself as Nethra Rai Singh at the time.
Raman interjects, explaining that Neha is called Nethra Rai Singh by friends and family, dismissing the importance of names. Harman accuses Neha of lying. A reporter questions RV about his behavior, but Poorvi steps in, asking them to be respectful and not to judge. When another reporter criticizes RV for drinking too much, Poorvi defends him, saying it’s not their place to dictate how much someone should drink. She reminds them all of the importance of family and the significance of a mother or sister.
Raman then accuses Poorvi of setting a bad example by supporting RV instead of the victim, Neha. He claims that Poorvi, being married into a wealthy family, doesn’t care about other girls’ futures. Poorvi responds firmly, saying she speaks for her family and is standing by RV because they support him too. Raman harshly criticizes Poorvi, suggesting she lacks shame and doesn’t care about the impact on Neha life. This angers RV, who ends the press conference and asks everyone to leave. Harleen comments that Poorvi failed to prove RV’s innocence, while Monisha hints that Neha is expected to arrive soon.
Suddenly, Neha shows up earlier than expected. Monisha is surprised and asks why she’s there. Neha reveals that Poorvi invited her. The others question Poorvi decision, and Poorvi explains that everyone wants justice for Nethra (Neha). Raman agrees, insisting that Nethra deserves justice and that RV should be punished.
