Kumkum Bhagya 23rd August 2024 Written Episode: Poorvi’s Courageous Move
The episode begins with Yug telling Poorvi that many people would be willing to marry Diya, and they would be better than Soham. Soham, confused, asks why Yug is talking like this. Yug replies that ever since he learned that Soham had once called off the engagement, he has held hatred in his heart for him. Diya, worried, asks Soham what Yug means. Soham checks if Yug is okay, but Yug apologizes and leaves. Soham, puzzled, thinks that Yug might be upset because of RV. Poorvi agrees and asks Soham to take care of Diya. Diya says she will wait, and Poorvi tells her to go. They leave together.
A neighbor approaches Poorvi and comments that she must never have imagined RV would do something like this, especially since he has a beautiful wife. Poorvi, showing respect, tells the neighbor that RV is innocent and that she is lucky to have such a family. The neighbor warns Poorvi that once RV marries Nethra, people will start looking down on her. Poorvi stands firm, praising her family and saying the truth will come out. Monisha overhears this and plans to crush Poorvi’s confidence. The neighbor continues, saying that Monisha was involved with RV and calls him a womanizer. Poorvi, fed up, shouts back, telling the neighbor to go save her own marriage, revealing that her husband spends time in coffee shops and invites girls over when she’s not home. The neighbor, panicked, rushes to call her husband.
Meanwhile, Harleen is on a call, discussing something serious and saying they will wait for someone. Monisha arrives and starts badmouthing Poorvi, saying no one else wants to ruin the family’s name like Poorvi does. Harleen, surprised, asks what Poorvi has done now. Monisha complains that Poorvi is playing the victim, letting the neighbors talk badly about their family. She implies that if Poorvi is silent, it must mean the bad things being said are true. Harleen gets angry, and Vaishali wonders why Poorvi didn’t stop the gossip. Deepika accuses Poorvi of wanting to play the victim. Just then, Roshni calls Monisha, and she leaves.
Poorvi enters the room, and Harleen accuses her of enjoying the drama, saying they were happy when they thought Poorvi had helped Nethra leave the city for good. Harleen sarcastically praises Poorvi for doing what they couldn’t, but then accuses her of playing games. Poorvi tries to explain that she dropped Nethra at the bus depot because Nethra wanted to leave on her own. Vaishali mocks Poorvi, saying Nethra fooled her and now she has fooled everyone. Deepika adds that Poorvi has trapped them all, including RV.
Jassi is trying to reach Monisha by phone, but she’s not answering. When Monisha finally picks up, she tells Jassi to be quiet and watch the drama unfold. Jassi is pleased, saying he now understands why she stayed there. Harleen continues yelling at Poorvi, blaming her for RV’s engagement with Nethra. Poorvi breaks down in tears. Dadi chimes in, saying that Poorvi should have sought advice from elders, but Vaishali says that would make her feel small. Deepika says now they have to deal with the consequences, and Harleen accuses Poorvi of pushing RV into a trap. Harleen vows that once the issue with Nethra is resolved, she doesn’t want to hear Poorvi’s name again in the house and declares she will make Monisha her daughter-in-law instead. Deepika smiles at this.
Jassi, pleased with Monisha’s work, praises her for the video she sent him. Monisha thanks him for warning her about Poorvi seeing her. Jassi boasts about being clever, and Monisha says it’s time for the big reveal. Jassi assures her that everyone is ready and that Nethra is also on board. Monisha warns Jassi that Poorvi is coming, and she turns to face her. Poorvi, suspicious, asks Monisha who she was talking to. Monisha snaps back, accusing Poorvi of having a cheap attitude. Poorvi says she suspects Monisha is connected to Nethra and demands to see her phone. Monisha refuses, saying she doesn’t let anyone touch her belongings.
Poorvi insists that this is about her family and asks why Monisha is being secretive if she has nothing to hide. She tries to grab Monisha’s phone, but it falls. Just then, Harleen arrives, and Monisha, pretending to be supportive, says she wanted to help the family during these tough times. Harleen tells Monisha to go home, while Poorvi remains convinced that Monisha is hiding something. Following Monisha, Poorvi confronts her again, saying she saw her talking to Jassi, a known troublemaker. She accuses Monisha of plotting against the family.
Monisha denies any wrongdoing, claiming she only wants what’s best for RV. Poorvi, however, isn’t convinced and vows to protect her family from Monisha. Monisha taunts Poorvi, saying RV will never be hers and that everything is going wrong for him because of Poorvi. She says RV was forced into the engagement with Nethra because of Poorvi’s mistakes and threatens to fix everything herself if Poorvi can’t.
Monisha then coldly tells Poorvi to move aside as she gets into her car and drives away, leaving Poorvi standing there, determined to uncover the truth.
