Kumkum Bhagya 22nd August 2024 Written Episode: RV’s Roka Ceremony Shocks All
The episode begins with Neha tricking RV into getting engaged to her by threatening to have both him and Poorvi arrested. RV reluctantly agrees to the engagement, saying, “I’ll do it.” Everyone, including Dadu, advises RV to take some time to think it over. Dadu suggests they should carefully consider the situation before making a decision. But RV is determined, thinking he has to do this for Poorvi’s sake. Harleen tries to warn RV not to fall for Neha’s tricks, reminding him that this is about his entire life. Vaishali also points out that this decision affects the whole family. However, RV insists they need to do the engagement now, or they might face bigger problems in the future. He asks Mr. Mehta if the engagement arrangements can be made quickly, to which Mr. Mehta agrees.
Poorvi, feeling guilty, apologizes to RV, saying that all of this is happening because of her. RV tells her not to say anything more. Mrs. Mehta brings the engagement items, and RV asks Harleen to perform the ceremony. Harleen initially refuses, but RV pleads with her to do it for him. Jassi, who is pleased with the turn of events, notes that this will separate RV from Poorvi. He sees Poorvi crying and reassures her, saying, “Don’t cry, I’m here with you.”
RV and Neha sit down for the engagement ceremony. Harleen places a bridal veil over Neha’s head, applies a tilak to both Neha’s and RV’s foreheads, and then performs the aarti. Poorvi is in tears as everyone else watches sadly. After the engagement, Neha takes blessings from RV’s family and exchanges a smile with Raman. Jassi, pleased with his success, smiles too.
Raman suggests that the couple should dance to celebrate, but RV tries to decline. Neha insists, saying they should forget the past and become good friends. A song plays as they dance. During the dance, Neha teases RV, asking if he doesn’t know how to dance. He responds, “You know how to dance, so you should dance.” Neha offers to teach him how to dance better. Unable to bear watching, Poorvi leaves the room. Monisha pretends to be concerned, and RV is about to follow Poorvi when reporters stop him, asking about the wedding date. RV tries to excuse himself, but they keep asking questions. Harleen steps in, saying that the wedding date will be decided by the priest and that everyone will be informed in due time. Jassi, thrilled with his success, gloats that he has successfully separated Poorvi from RV. He praises Raman for live-streaming the events and plans to give him extra money. When the doorbell rings, Jassi wonders who it could be and answers the door to find a friend. His friend explains that he ran out of gas. The friend asks if everything went according to plan, and Jassi confirms, saying that if he had relied on Monisha, nothing would have happened.
Monisha calls Jassi to praise him for his plan, but Jassi insists that he never fails. Monisha reminds him that the plan was hers too, but Jassi dismisses her, telling her she can take credit if she wants. He instructs her not to talk to Neha for a few days if she wants RV to stay away from Poorvi and come to him instead. Monisha agrees to listen and promises not to do anything that would upset the plan. After ending the call, Jassi tells his friend they need to wait for Neha to arrive. His friend asks what he’s planning, but Jassi only tells him to wait for the surprise.
Meanwhile, Harleen, Vaishali, and others return home, where they overhear a neighbor speaking badly about RV. Harleen confronts the neighbor, who stands by her words and says she doesn’t want any relationship with them. Deepika stirs up trouble by suggesting that Poorvi is the problem, which stresses out Harman.
Neha returns home to find Jassi and his friend playing cards in her house. She angrily asks what they’re doing there. Jassi introduces himself and casually suggests they discuss cutting Sahil into pieces. Neha, upset, says she’s just caused a big scene and now wants to meet her boyfriend. Jassi tells her to do something even bigger, and then they’ll talk. Neha insists that getting engaged is a big deal and demands to see Sahil, asking Jassi to trust her. Jassi allows her to see Sahil but only after she earns his trust. Neha protests, saying she doesn’t need his permission to see her boyfriend. Jassi warns her that his threats are serious, reminding her that if anything happens to Sahil, his men will be ready to kill him on his signal. He asks Neha if she still thinks she doesn’t need his permission.
Elsewhere, Vikrant tells Harman that people are gossiping about them. Dadu tries to comfort him, saying that people will talk no matter what and that they shouldn’t worry about it. Jaswant, fed up with the rumors, threatens to take legal action against anyone who badmouths them. Harman, however, points out that it’s impossible to stop everyone. He insists that RV hasn’t done anything wrong, but Nethra has. Harman recounts how Nethra took the money he offered and then got him arrested. He warns that she’s clever and untrustworthy. Vikrant, noticing Harman’s stress, asks if he’s okay. Harman admits that he’s worried, not for himself, but for his son. He wishes he could do more for RV, who is suffering and feeling hopeless. Harman expresses his frustration at being unable to help his son, feeling like he has failed as a father. He breaks down, hugging Dadu as RV overhears and quietly leaves.
Later, Diya and Soham drop off Yug and Poorvi at the Malhotra house. Diya hugs Poorvi, promising to support her, but Poorvi insists that she’ll manage on her own. She asks Soham not to break off his engagement with Diya. Yug, however, angrily tells Soham that many men would want to marry Diya, suggesting that he no longer respects Soham after learning he once called off the engagement.
Jassi instructs Neha to follow his orders if she wants to be happy and keep Sahil safe. He warns her not to show any attitude, reminding her that he’s holding her life in his hands. Neha feels trapped, but Jassi assures her that he’ll help her out of this mess. He hints at a big plan for tomorrow, telling Neha to prepare for it. As he tucks the Queen of Hearts card into his pocket, Jassi smiles, confident in his next move.
