Kumkum Bhagya 20th August 2024 Written Episode: Love, Drama, and Suspense
The episode begins with Monisha coming out and asking what’s going on. RV replies that it’s nothing, just that her bracelet got tangled with his watch. Poorvi smiles and says she’s trying to untangle it. Annoyed, Monisha breaks Poorvi’s bracelet and tells her to buy a new one. She then tries to take RV away from there. Poorvi bends down to pick up the pearls from her broken bracelet. RV pulls his hand away from Monisha and goes back to Poorvi. He holds Poorvi’s hand and walks with her into the party hall. Monisha gets furious, thinking she’ll get back at RV for ignoring her feelings. She plans to separate RV from Poorvi and warns Poorvi to get ready for destruction.
Meanwhile, Diya and Soham greet Dadu and Dadi. Dadu tells Soham that he’s lucky to have Diya, as she’s just like Poorvi. Diya asks Dadu how he knows, since everyone says the same. Dadi agrees, saying Diya is like a mini Poorvi. Diya laughs, and Yug adds that Soham is very fortunate. Diya jokes, telling Yug not to listen to him, since Yug used to call her mindless and dumb. Dadu explains that Yug says those things because he likes her and that he’s the same way. Diya asks if this is how people show they like someone. Soham says friends tease each other, and asks if they’re friends. Yug agrees and walks away, while Diya comments that he treats her like an enemy.
RV and Poorvi enter the room, and Harleen and the others notice them. Deepika asks what’s going on, and Vaishali comments on how shameless it is. Poorvi asks RV to let go of her hand, but RV insists, saying she’s his wife, and he can hold her hand whenever he wants. He tells her to smile for the media. Poorvi calls out his name, but Deepika continues to criticize her, calling her shameless. Jaswant, holding Vaishali’s hand, says this is Mumbai, and Harleen adds that it’s good RV and Poorvi want to show the media they’re together. Raman then asks RV how he feels with the case still ongoing. Mr. Mehta tries to stop the questions, but Raman and the others insist it’s their job to ask. RV agrees to answer. Raman asks how he feels. RV responds by saying that when the world is against you, trying to bring you down, but someone stands by you like a shield, it’s a blessing. He says he feels blessed to have his wife with him.
Raman challenges him, saying the person RV calls a blessing wanted to get him married to Nethra. RV explains that Nethra falsely accused him of ruining her life, and Poorvi only tried to help her by giving her options to improve her life, but Nethra ran away. He reminds them that they had given him a clean chit and stated that Nethra’s accusations were false. Another reporter asks if RV and Poorvi will get a divorce now that Neha has backed off. RV firmly says there will be no divorce. Mr. Mehta’s wife steps in and asks the media to let them go inside.
In another scene, Jassi threatens Neha, telling her that his men are ruthless and will target Sahil if she doesn’t follow through with their plan. Neha assures him she will do her job perfectly. Jassi warns her again, saying he wants RV and Poorvi to get divorced.
Raman talks to Jassi and informs him that he will start the video call, so he can see everything. Deepika approaches Monisha and asks why she didn’t arrive with RV in his car, mentioning that he called Poorvi his blessing. Monisha defensively says she did come with him, but Deepika questions how he entered the party with Poorvi instead. Monisha explains that RV let go of her hand and then held Poorvi’s hand, walking in with her. Despite this, Monisha reassures herself that everything will be fine soon.
Mrs. Mehta then announces that she has something important to share. She thanks everyone for attending the party and being part of their celebration. She explains that the party is in honor of their business partner and family friend RV, to celebrate his happiness, even though he has been in the news for the wrong reasons. She mentions that false things were said about RV, and that no one really knows what RV is like in real life. Mr. Mehta adds that they are simple, down-to-earth people.
