Karan Patel and Anita Hassanandani became good friends while working together on the popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. There were several reports that claimed Karan Patel behaved ‘arrogantly’ on the set and didn’t get along well with others. Recently, Anita Hassanandani addressed these rumors and also reacted to Karan’s recent post where he asked for work.
Anita Hassanandani spoke about this during an interview with Siddharth Kannan. When asked about her relationship with her Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-stars, Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi, Anita said that she was very close to Karan and had a friendly relationship with Divyanka.
Anita was then asked about Karan Patel’s recent Instagram story where he asked for work. Anita responded by saying, “I didn’t see this post.” She went on to praise Karan, saying, “He is so talented and amazing. He has so much talent but he just needs one chance.”
She added, “I truly believe that if he gets a great opportunity, he can become a huge star. He’s really talented and can outshine anyone.”
When asked about the rumors of Karan Patel being arrogant, Anita firmly denied them. She said, “Not at all. He is a lovely guy and deserves the world. He is so amazing. I don’t know how I missed that post. You know, for some actors, we say, ‘He deserves more, he deserves better,’ and I think Karan is one of them.”
Recalling her experience working with Karan on the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein set, Anita shared, “He used to come to the set, scan 10 pages in two seconds, and know exactly what he had to do. He would remember his lines quickly. He is one of the most professional actors, one of the nicest human beings, and extremely talented. I just hope he gets the break he needs so he can prove himself.”
Anita also mentioned that there’s nothing wrong with asking for work. She explained how the competition has increased because of the rise in platforms and the number of actors.
