Karan Johar, known for being a successful filmmaker, is also a proud father to his two kids, Yash and Roohi. On Daughter’s Day, the Devara producer shared a sweet video to celebrate the occasion.
On September 22, Karan posted an adorable video on Instagram featuring Yash and Roohi. In the video, the kids are sitting in front of a delicious chocolate cake with their names on it. Karan, filming from behind the camera, can be heard saying, “Okay, so we’re celebrating Daughter’s and Son’s Day.”
Roohi, holding spoons, cutely replied, “I want you to be my dada every day.” Karan, clearly touched, responded, “I am your dada every day.” He then turned the camera toward his son Yash, who simply said, “Ditto,” which left Karan surprised as he exclaimed, “God!!”
Fans loved the video, especially Yash’s brief but cute reply. One user commented, “Yash’s short speech. Ditto,” while another said, “Ufffff too cute!” A third fan added, “But Yash is a show stealer.”
Karan’s post also included a touching caption. He shared his belief in equality, a value taught to him by his progressive mother and feminist father. He explained how he tries to pass these values on to his children, celebrating sons and daughters equally. He wrote, “We all wear pink! We all wear blue! We tie each other Rakhi on Raksha Bandhan, and we celebrate sons and daughters every day.”
On the work front, Karan Johar is excited for the release of his South Indian film Devara: Part 1 starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. He’s also producing Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
