Jhanak Written Episode Update – 1st September 2024: Wedding Twist Ahead
The episode begins with Jhanak thanking Mrinalini for offering her house for Appu’s wedding. Mrinalini asks if Jhanak came for something specific. Jhanak says she’ll talk about it later and asks if it’s okay for Choton to come by. Mrinalini says he’s welcome to visit. Anjana teases Mrinalini, saying she’s still a child at heart and wouldn’t leave Choton outside. Mrinalini brushes it off and offers to make tea. Jhanak offers to do it instead, but Mrinalini insists, though Choton says he doesn’t want any. Mrinalini leaves.
Anjana scolds Choton, saying it’s his fault for hurting Mrinalini. Choton explains that he refused marriage for Mrinalini’s sake. Anjana realizes this means he loves her, but Choton insists that someone like him doesn’t deserve love.
Jhanak, Anjana, and Choton return home from shopping. Anjana mentions that Jhanak bought items for Appu’s wedding. Bipasha makes a snide comment, but Bablu defends Jhanak, saying they see her as their younger daughter, just like Appu is the elder one. Dadi scolds him.
Lal and Bipasha argue with Choton and Anjana, but Jhanak calmly says they talked to Mrinalini, who agreed to lend her house for the wedding. Bablu invites everyone to the wedding. Arshi asks Jhanak when she plans to leave, and Jhanak replies that she’ll leave after Appu’s wedding. Anirudh arrives, and Arshi complains that Jhanak is causing trouble and that the family is taking her side.
Lal taunts Jhanak, and Dadi criticizes her for always finding excuses to visit. Anirudh and Jhanak start arguing, with Shubh accusing Jhanak of being rude. Jhanak challenges Anirudh to throw her out if he dares, which prompts Bipasha to encourage him, reminding everyone that Jhanak was in a live-in relationship with someone else. She accuses Jhanak of being shameless. Anirudh says he no longer considers Jhanak important in his life and doesn’t see any good in her.
Choton, upset, sarcastically tells Anirudh that he’s too smart to ruin his life, but Anirudh snaps back, questioning whether Choton believes Jhanak’s story. Choton says he trusts both Anirudh and Jhanak, but he’s unsure what to do. Bipasha demands that they choose who they trust. Bablu declares that he trusts Jhanak more than Anirudh, while Shubh tells Anirudh to learn from his mistakes. Tanuja points out that the family chose Jhanak over him, leaving Anirudh feeling hurt and betrayed.
Anirudh insists that Jhanak doesn’t want to frame him, but Bablu reminds him that he used to believe Jhanak couldn’t do anything wrong. Arshi accuses Jhanak of lying and says she doesn’t want to stay if what Jhanak says is true. Anirudh struggles with how to prove his innocence, while Jhanak asserts that she’s telling the truth.
Arshi tells Jhanak to shut up, feeling overwhelmed. Anirudh vows not to let Jhanak create a rift between them, but Jhanak is determined to fight for her baby’s rights and prove her claims. Arshi, distressed, demands that Jhanak be silenced, but Lal and Bipasha urge Arshi not to pay attention to her.
Bablu gives Jhanak his blessings, hoping she can one day prove the truth. Jhanak thanks him. Dadi promises to attend Appu’s wedding, but Shubh declares that the rest of them won’t go. Tanuja decides to end the argument here, and Bipasha and Lal also refuse to attend the wedding. Choton scolds them for not doing anything for Appu.
Anirudh, however, insists that he will attend Appu’s wedding, no matter what. He says he wants to see Appu happy and that even though Lalon doesn’t earn much, it’s not a crime. He suggests they could offer financial help, though Lalon might not accept it. Anirudh tells Arshi that she should come with him, but she refuses, saying the wedding isn’t up to her standards. Anirudh says he won’t force her, but he has to go because he loves Appu too much to miss it.
