Jhanak Written Episode Update 17th August 2024: Jhanak and Aditya’s Day Out
The episode begins with Jhanak receiving a call from Aditya. He says he has a proposal and that he’s waiting outside the hotel. He assures her that he’s not coming to her room because he knows she has some issues with him. Jhanak responds that she doesn’t. Aditya says he needs to talk to her somewhere, and asks if she trusts him. Jhanak asks where he wants to take her. Aditya mentions that she should wear a nice dress for the party. Jhanak says she has her own clothes. Aditya insists that she should look presentable for the party.
Anirudh tells Arshi to get ready quickly because it’s a special day and everyone will be trying to look their best. Arshi mentions Jhanak and says that if their relationship was better, she would have given her a lift to the party. Anirudh assures her that Jhanak has many people who can give her a lift. Arshi then comments that Anirudh seems upset about Aditya and Jhanak getting closer. Anirudh says he doesn’t want to think about her anymore. He acknowledges that Jhanak has become independent and if someone is guiding her, that’s fine.
Jhanak tells Aditya that she’s not comfortable with his offer. Aditya asks if she doesn’t consider him a friend. Jhanak admits they aren’t close friends. Aditya offers to pay for the dress and says she can pay him back later. Jhanak insists on buying the dress herself and needs some time. Aditya agrees to wait for her decision.
A woman comes to see Appu. Appu asks if Lalon has come and says she’ll feel better when he arrives. Aditya suggests they might become good friends. Jhanak says she’ll join them soon. Aditya says he won’t buy any gifts, but he wants to buy the dress for her and insists it’s just one dress. Jhanak agrees to get ready.
Arshi doesn’t want to talk about Jhanak with Anirudh. He says they should move on. Arshi asks why Jhanak performed poorly at the dance show. Anirudh replies that he doesn’t know and suggests she might not be as skilled in dancing as Arshi. Arshi is glad if Jhanak lost intentionally to let her win. Anirudh thinks she’s overthinking.
Arshi hugs Anirudh, saying he shouldn’t worry about her. They leave together.
Jhanak reflects that she regards Anirudh as her husband in her heart, but feels foolish since only her mother and Anirudh have done shopping for her. She feels strange about shopping with someone else. The lady tells her that Lalon will come and bring chocolates. Appu says she won’t talk to him.
Anjana arrives and scolds the lady and Appu. Appu says she likes Lalon. Anirudh and Arshi go to a store where the man recognizes Anirudh from the dance show. Anirudh asks the man to show something nice for the party. Arshi agrees to try on the dresses if Jhanak finds matching clothes. Aditya asks Jhanak if she’s upset. She explains she didn’t plan to buy new clothes. Aditya offers to use his extra money to buy her a dress, saying she can pay him back later. Jhanak smiles.
Tanuja tells Appu to stop mentioning Lalon’s name. Anjana says she can handle it, and Bipasha agrees. The man at the store asks Jhanak for her color preference. She says white. Aditya asks for the best and most expensive white dress. Anirudh watches as the staff brings out the white dresses. Jhanak remembers Anirudh saying red and white suit her. Anirudh wonders why Jhanak is shopping with Aditya, whom she doesn’t know well.
