Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein 31st August 2024 Written Episode: Arsh Outwits Rajat
The Thakkar family arrives at Savi’s school for the award function. Bhagyashree is surprised at how big the venue is, expecting a smaller event. She mentions how she used to attend many award functions with Rajat, where he would win both the award and a prize, and wonders if Savi will also get money with her award. Harini responds with lessons she learned from Isha and Shantanu. Bhagyashree then makes a comment about Isha, which irritates Harini, but Savi calms her down. Rajendra tells Bhagyashree to stop talking and says they are lucky to have Savi as their daughter-in-law, who is receiving an award in education.
They enter the building, where the school principal welcomes Savi and asks about her parents. Savi explains that they had some work, but her in-laws are there. The principal also asks about her husband, and Savi says he is busy too. Rajendra confidently says that Rajat will definitely attend his wife’s award function. Meanwhile, Rajat is at the office, working, when Aman asks him if he’s still at it. Rajat, annoyed, asks what else he should do. Aman realizes Rajat is still upset.
The Thakkars take their seats in the front row of the auditorium. Soon, Ashika and Arsh enter, which angers Bhagyashree. She asks Savi why they are there, and Savi guesses that the school management invited them as parents. Bhagyashree complains that Savi should have told the management that she is Sai’s mother, not Ashika. Tara advises Bhagyashree to ignore Ashika and Arsh. The host then welcomes the guests and introduces the chief guest, Mr. Waghmare, on stage.
Rajat arrives at the venue, mistakenly thinking it’s a business expo. He questions someone who informs him it’s a school award function. Rajat is about to leave when Rajendra sees him and encourages him to stay since he’s already there. Rajat realizes Aman tricked him and reluctantly joins his family. Arsh, sitting in the back, taunts Rajat for being late as usual and reminds him that Sai is actually Arsh’s daughter, not Rajat’s. Rajat, upset, starts drinking.
Bhagyashree begins to feel sleepy and suggests to Tara that they sleep since the event is boring. Tara warns that they would be embarrassed since they’re sitting in the front row. The host calls Savi on stage to receive the Best Teacher Award. Bhagyashree excitedly video calls her friend to show her Savi receiving the award. Sai, meanwhile, asks Rajat to clap since “Pari Mamma” (Savi) got the Best Teacher Award, but Rajat remains silent. The host asks Savi to say a few words, and Savi thanks the education board for the award, giving credit to her students for inspiring her to create new teaching methods. Everyone claps, but Rajat continues drinking. Savi, noticing Rajat’s behavior, frowns but then returns to her seat and hands the award to Bhagyashree, who proudly shows it off to the family.
Next, the host announces a student performance, and the children dance to the song “Ek Jindadi Meri Sau Khwaihsath.” The audience applauds, and then the host announces a performance by Sai for Savi. The crowd claps again as Rajat joins in but stops when Arsh’s earlier taunts come to mind. Sai sings “Ladki Ki, Kathi Kathi Pe Ghoda,” but forgets the lyrics midway. Savi tries to help her remember, and Arsh joins in to sing with her, which makes Rajat even more upset. The host praises their duet performance.
After the performance, Arsh manipulates Sai, telling her that she sings well, but her parents are not good singers. Sai, confused, says she doesn’t know, as it was Pari Mamma who taught her the song. Arsh then suggests she should ask her father, Rajat, where she got her talent from since it’s usually inherited from parents.
Sai goes to Rajat and asks how her performance was. A guest compliments her singing, but Sai asks Rajat how she sings so well when neither he nor Ashika can sing. Rajat asks who told her this, and Sai says Arsh did and suggested she ask him. Angrily, Rajat walks away. Arsh intercepts him at the door, mocking him for crying and offering him a handkerchief. He then suggests that Sai’s singing talent is proof that she is Arsh’s daughter, not Rajat’s. He explains that just like a nightingale might leave her eggs in a crow’s nest, making the crow believe the babies are hers, Sai looks like Ashika but has Arsh’s eyes and voice. Arsh admits he didn’t want to reveal this secret because he wanted Ashika to win custody of Sai, but Rajat tricked them and won custody. Arsh then pretends to plead with Rajat to return his daughter, knowing that Rajat doesn’t really care about Sai. Rajat stands there, deep in thought.
