Actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan is about to celebrate his 56th birthday on September 2, 2024. To mark the occasion, his famous film Gabbar Singh will be back in theaters on that day.
According to recent reports from Filmibeat and 123 Telugu, this 2012 hit movie, directed by Harish Shankar, will be re-released in theaters on September 2. It’s a special treat for fans of Pawan Kalyan, also known as Power Star. Additionally, the film is expected to hit screens in North America on September 1, 2024.
Gabbar Singh stars Pawan Kalyan as a police officer in a village who stands up against local thugs planning to enter politics. The film is an official remake of the Bollywood hit Dabangg, featuring changes in the story and characters. It includes a strong cast with Shruti Haasan, Abhimanyu Singh, Ajay, Suhasini Maniratnam, and others.
When it first came out, the movie was a huge success and one of the top earners in Telugu cinema. It also has a sequel, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, released in 2016, but it received mixed reviews and didn’t perform as well at the box office.
Looking ahead, Pawan Kalyan will be starring in the highly anticipated action film They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth. In this movie, he plays a character who returns to the streets of Bombay seeking his rival. This film will also feature Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, along with Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and others.
Pawan Kalyan will also be appearing in upcoming movies like Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the latter being his second collaboration with director Harish Shankar.
