Karan Veer Mehra, who won Bigg Boss 18, is relishing his triumph and fan adoration. He candidly recounted his childhood dyslexia in a recent interview.

Kanan’s Dyslexia Story

Karan said Telly Talk he was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child. He said his family always encouraged him and his sister to focus on their abilities. Karan struggled in school while his sister did well. He admitted, “I was dyslexic, but it was diagnosed until much later.”

Karan claimed he narrowly passed most of his childhood tests. But things changed during summer vacation before his 10th-grade board examinations. To her amazement, he answered all the questions when his mother read books to him.

Karan’s mother made math and accounting tutoring appointments after realizing the problem was reading. He surprised everyone with a 72% 10th-grade mark. “It was a shock for everyone at home,” Karan said.

Finding Clarity in Film

Karan said viewing Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par later in life helped him understand dyslexia. He and his mother were moved by the film, which showed them how genuine and treatable the disease is.

Karan’s Bigg Boss Win

Karan entered Bigg Boss 18 after winning Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and delighted spectators with his game tactics and humor. He defeated Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal after receiving huge support.
