Bheema 28 Aug 2024 Written Episode: Kalasha Bua Takes Charge

Episode Summary

Kalika Singh is upset and says they always let things slide because they’re worried about what others might think. He tells Kalasha Bua that they need to do something about it. Just as they’re about to have tea, his wife suggests they wait until they decide what to do. Vishambar comes in, trying to explain that if they let things like this happen, there will be many more cases like Bhima’s, and they need to figure out how to deal with it. Kalika Singh angrily throws a cushion at Vishambar, who throws it back. Kalasha Bua asks Vishambar why he threw something at Kalika Singh. Vishambar responds that if his mother taught him manners, she should have taught his elder brother and sister too. He says if his mother thinks he’s acting childish, she can come and slap him, but he warns that this situation isn’t right, and they need to think about what they will do. His sister-in-law comments that ever since Bhima started studying, Vishambar has also become more outspoken. Vishambar replies that he knows what he’s doing and turns away. Kalasha Bua vows to show Vishambar how many people are against Bhima’s situation.

Meanwhile, Baba Sahib tells Bhima that the three days of the challenge have passed, so it’s time for her to take the next step. Bhima stands in front of the school board as the students and teachers come out to the playground. The Principal watches as Bhima removes her name from the board. Bhawan and his sister are furious. Bhima walks up to the Principal and reminds him that he promised to enroll her in the school register if she managed to stay for three days. Bhima says she has won the challenge, so he should add her name to the register on Monday. She explains that she removed her name from the board herself out of respect for him as her teacher, and she is grateful for what she has learned from him. The other teachers are angry at Bhima, but she hands her class teacher the board with her name on it, thanks him, and leaves the school. Baba Sahib is waiting for her at the entrance, and she smiles when she sees him. The Principal feels it’s a loss for their class that Bhima is still in school, but the teacher from the lower class sees it as a victory for the school and the efforts of Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Baba Sahib extends his hand to Bhima, and they walk away together.

Kalasha Bua, meanwhile, offers food to the other leaders and tells them they need to give a strong response to the situation. After some discussion, they all agree with her. Kalasha Bua suggests they stop hiring anyone from the lower class to work in their farms or businesses. Some of the leaders are worried, but Kalika supports his mother’s decision, saying they need to protect their identity and future by dealing with the problems related to the lower class. The other leaders agree, deciding not to employ anyone from the lower class in their homes, farms, or businesses. Kalasha Bua and Kalika are pleased with this decision. Kalasha Bua remarks that the meaning of rights is written in the constitution, so they can demand anything. She orders a worker to check if Mehwa has arrived and to spread the elders’ decision. Mehwa pleads with Kalasha Bua not to do this, as the lower-class people are poor and might suffer greatly. Kalika, however, angrily tells Mehwa to leave and spread the word. Mehwa walks out of the mansion in tears.

Dhania tells Bhima to focus on her education with full dedication, and Bhima agrees. Mehwa arrives and announces the court’s new decision: they will not hire anyone from the lower class anymore. Hearing this, the lower-class people start leaving to apologize. Dhania, confused, asks where they’re going, and Bhima points to her father. Mehwa, still crying, sits down. Dhania asks why he’s crying, but he doesn’t answer and instead returns with a scale. Dhania asks what he’s planning to do. Mehwa explains that Kalasha Bua has decided not to give them any work in her farms. Mehwa tells Dhania to weigh the hunger of all the lower-class people against Bhima’s desire and determination for education. He suggests that if Bhima’s determination outweighs their hunger, Dhania can do whatever she wants, so they don’t become the enemies of their own community. Mehwa puts a blackboard on one side of the scale. Dhania says she needs Mehwa’s support now, but he asks what will happen to the people they’ve lived with for generations. Mehwa explains that their poverty and status might force Bhima to give up her education, but if they abandon their neighbors, they will have nothing left. Bhima tells her father that she will never give up on her education.
