Anupama Written Episode Update – 9th September 2024: Aadhya’s Wedding Wish
The episode begins with Anupama telling everyone that she found some flowers in the cupboard, washed them, and reused them. Sagar notices everyone working and says, “Everyone is busy.” Anupama happily replies, “Our Bappa is coming.” Mahi tells Ishu that Bappa will bring them lots of happiness. Anupama praises the kids, saying they are speaking positively and working hard. She jokes, asking if Baa makes them drink saffron milk. Ishu responds, “We like saffron milk.” The kids tell Kinjal to come home soon, or Toshu might scold them. Kinjal, in a playful mood, says, “I’ll deal with anyone who scolds you.”
Anupama asks Kinjal what’s bothering her. Kinjal admits that she doesn’t like fighting, but Toshu has left her no choice. Anupama wisely advises, “Every woman must know when to stay quiet and when to speak up.” Kinjal agrees, saying, “Now it’s time for me to speak up.” Anupama reminds her not to cross any boundaries. Kinjal lightens the mood with a joke. Just then, Baa arrives with dry fruits for the prasad (offering). Anupama is pleased and tells Baa to take care of Bappa. Babu ji tells Baa she did the right thing. Anuj smiles as he watches Anupama, Baa, and the kids, and Anupama playfully takes off the “evil eye” from him.
Meanwhile, Pakhi complains about Toshu, calling him irritating. Aadhya approaches her, asking for a decorative toran and invites Pakhi to join them. Pakhi refuses, saying, “I don’t want anything to do with beggars.” Aadhya remarks that Pakhi is still as arrogant as ever. Pakhi retorts, reminding her of past behavior and accusing her of trying to ruin lives. Aadhya calmly responds, “I used to think that way, but now I see that Mummy makes life better.” Meenu arrives, and Aadhya leaves, asking Meenu to fetch the toran. Meenu asks Pakhi what she said to Aadhya. Pakhi dismissively replies that she was just observing and comments, “Status doesn’t change with clothes.” Meenu walks away, and Pakhi decides to tell Toshu about Meenu and Sagar.
As Anuj plays the drums, everyone sings and dances to welcome Ganapati Bappa. Baa and Babu ji warn Toshu not to ruin the festival, or he’ll face harsher punishment than the drums being played. Anuj and Anupama perform the aarti (prayer ritual), followed by the rest of the family. Toshu, meanwhile, looks at a picture of Meenu and Sagar and thinks, “For once, Pakhi did something right.” Dolly arrives, and Anupama warmly embraces her, saying, “It’s been years since I’ve seen you. This happiness is double.”
However, the joyful reunion takes a sharp turn when Dolly accuses Anupama of trying to ruin Meenu’s life to take revenge on her brother. Dolly angrily declares, “Meenu sees you as a mother, but you’ve shown that a Mami (aunt) is never a real mother.” Anupama is confused and asks what Dolly means. Dolly refuses to explain further, saying she won’t discuss it in front of Bappa and warns Anupama to stay away from Meenu’s life. Meenu tries to understand why her mother is talking like this, but Dolly drags her away.
After Dolly leaves, Babu ji asks Anupama if she’s okay. Anupama, teary-eyed, asks, “Why did she say such things?” Baa suggests they should leave, but Babu ji insists they complete the puja with the prasad. He suspects that Toshu, Pakhi, or Vanraj might have filled Dolly’s ears with lies and promises to talk to her. Meanwhile, Aadhya, disappointed, thinks that Dolly has ruined the special plans she had for Anupama and Anuj.
Back at Dolly’s home, Meenu tries to explain that what Dolly heard was exaggerated. She insists on returning for the prasad to complete the puja, despite Dolly’s resistance.
Sagar tells Bala how unfair it was for Meenu’s mother to scold Anupama when she had done nothing wrong. Bala advises him to wait for the right time to address the issue, as Anupama is already feeling sad.
Later, Anuj tries to comfort Anupama, who distributes chocolates to the children. When she offers one to Aadhya, Aadhya says she doesn’t want chocolates. Instead, she wants something else: she asks Anupama and Anuj to get back together. Aadhya tearfully admits that they separated because of her, but now she wants them to reunite for their love, not just for her. She regrets her past mistakes and begs them to give their relationship another chance. She says, “You fought the world for your love, but you couldn’t fight for each other as parents. No one can take your place in Pops’ life, not even Shru. He still loves you.” Aadhya confesses that they prioritized her over their relationship and asks them to marry each other again.
Babu ji, watching the heartfelt moment, says, “Parents live for their children, but they should also live for themselves.” Aadhya expresses her wish to see Anuj and Anupama as a couple again. With everyone encouraging them, Aadhya takes out locket pendants of Radha and Krishna, asking them to unite forever. She reminds them that their first wedding was witnessed by their three children, but now she wants to see them marry with her by their side.
Everyone urges Anupama to say yes. They all recall precious memories. Babu ji announces that it’s now Anupama and Anuj’s turn to decide. Anuj tells Anupama that their daughter is right and asks, “How long will we stay apart?” He acknowledges the misunderstandings and challenges they’ve faced and asks if she can forgive him and give their relationship a second chance. Anuj swears on Aadhya, promising that if they reunite, he will never let their bond break again, even until death.
He tells Anupama, “If Kanha ji has brought us together again, and our daughter and family want us to be together, what are you waiting for?”
