Anupama Written Episode Update – 2nd September 2024: Anupama’s Unexpected Comeback
The episode starts with everyone crying in the hospital. Anuj arrives, and Aadhya, tearfully, tells him, “Pops, Mummy has left us forever.” Everyone is heartbroken. Anuj refuses to believe it, saying, “This can’t be true. Anu can’t leave me.” He presses his hand against the door to the operating room, calling out to Anupama, asking if she can hear him. He pleads with her to wake up, saying they can’t live without each other and that Kanha ji wouldn’t want them to be apart. He cries, begging her to get up, reminding her that Kanha ji gave her to him as a gift on his birthday and pleading with her not to leave him. He even asks Babu ji to help, questioning why she’s not responding. Suddenly, the machine in the room starts beeping, indicating a normal heartbeat. The doctors, surprised, check the equipment and realize Anupama is alive—it’s a miracle. They quickly put an oxygen mask on her again. The doctor comes out to inform everyone that Anupama is alive, calling it a miracle. Anuj, relieved, says he knew it all along and thanks the doctor. Toshu, confused, asks how this happened after the doctor declared her dead. Meenu explains the medical term for such situations. Anuj insists it’s Kanha ji’s miracle. Toshu and Babu ji are overjoyed and hug each other. Sagar calls Bala to share the good news, and Bala tells everyone, who then celebrate. Kinjal rushes to Baa to tell her that Mummy is out of danger, and Baa cries with happiness and hugs her.
Anuj goes to Anupama’s ward. Anupama slowly gains consciousness and calls out to him, “Kapadia ji.” She opens her eyes and holds his hand. Everyone outside the room smiles, seeing that she’s okay. Anuj holds her hand, kisses it, and wipes away his tears. He tells her, “Anu, from now on, we will face everything together—anger, love, hatred, everything—as life partners. No matter where we are, in our home, in a rented house, or even on the street, I want to be with you.” He thanks Kanha ji for giving her back to him and acknowledges her bravery for fighting death and coming back. Anupama, still weak, says she saw something when she was unconscious and wonders if it was a dream or reality. Anuj assures her it was real, saying he was confident she would come back. Anupama jokes that Kanha ji probably kept her on earth to avoid her giving him a five-page lecture. Anuj laughs and suggests they embrace this second chance at life. Anupama agrees, saying they will stay together, with love, as Maan. Anuj tells her he loves her, and Anupama replies that she knows. He then asks her to say what she usually conveys through her eyes but this time out loud. Anupama confesses, “I want to grow old with you.” Anuj smiles, holds her hand, and places his hand gently on her head. Anupama smiles back, tears of joy in her eyes. He kisses her forehead.
Aadhya enters the room and gently places her head on Anupama’s, crying. Babu ji, watching them, says that Anupama’s family is now complete, and the festival has become truly joyful. Aadhya tearfully apologizes to Anupama and Anuj, admitting that she wasn’t a good daughter and that if she hadn’t left, they could have been happy together in the US. Anuj reassures her, saying what happened is in the past and that it’s good she has realized her mistake. He adds that they are all together now because of God’s blessings. Anupama smiles. Babu ji, Sagar, Meenu, and others come into the room. Anupama reassures Babu ji that she is fine. The doctor advises everyone to leave and let Anupama rest, but she insists that they stay a bit longer. Anuj also tells her to rest, reminding her of the big operation she had. Anupama then asks Babu ji not to worry and to take his medicine.
Toshu suggests they all go home, and Titu agrees. Meenu notes that Anupama will probably sleep now due to the heavy medication. Babu ji instructs Anuj to stay with Anupama as they all leave. Anuj tells Aadhya how much he missed her, explaining how Anupama found her and brought her back to him. Aadhya promises never to leave them again and expresses her deep love for him. Meanwhile, the Shahs and Ashram people are dancing joyfully. Toshu brings Babu ji and the others in the car. Babu ji, full of joy, asks Toshu to play the dhol and dance, praising Kanha ji for returning his “god,” Anupama, to him. They all chant “Jai Shri Krishna.” Bala mentions that Pandit ji said Anuj fought with God for Anupama. Babu ji confirms that true love can bring back a loved one. Kinjal observes that Anuj is finally showing his true self. Baa wishes for their happiness together. Babu ji, feeling festive, says he will have double the sweets, and though Baa tries to stop him, she eventually gives him a small piece. Nandita comments that everyone should have a love like Anuj and Anupama’s, while Sagar looks at Meenu. Babu ji then asks Bala to play the drum, and they all dance.
The next day, Meenu steps out of the house but trips and falls. Sagar catches her, and Pakhi, watching them, decides to gather proof before revealing what she saw. Meenu then walks away.
Later, Anupama opens her eyes and sees the hospital room beautifully decorated with a “Get well soon” message. Anuj and Aadhya enter. Aadhya helps Anupama sit up and combs her hair. Soon, Kinjal, Titu, Dimpy, Pakhi, and Toshu also arrive. Anupama looks at them, smiling warmly.
