Anupama Written Episode Update – 1st September 2024: A Tragic Twist
The episode begins with Anupama’s condition worsening in the hospital. Anuj, overwhelmed with fear and desperation, runs out to the temple. He pleads with Kanha ji, questioning why he’s being treated like a toy. He says sometimes Kanha ji lets him be with Anu, but then took Aadhya away from him. Anuj cries out that people say good things happen to good people, so he begs not to be separated from Anu. He says that if Kanha ji wants to take a life, he should take his instead of Anu’s. He reminds Kanha ji that today is both of their birthdays and says if he wants him to live, then give him both Anu and his daughter. Otherwise, Anuj says, he doesn’t want to live without them.
Sagar arrives at the temple, also heartbroken. He pours out his pain, saying Anudi is everything to him and begs Kanha ji to save her. Meanwhile, Bala Kaka gets a call and is shocked to learn that Anupama has only 15 minutes to survive unless she recovers in that time. Nandita cries, and Kinjal shouts for her mother. Baa is praying intensely, performing Abhishek for the God.
Anuj, filled with anguish, says that if Kanha ji wants him to perform his aarti, then he will do it. He begins the aarti, ringing the temple bell. Inside the hospital, the doctor sees the straight lines on the machine and realizes Anupama’s body is no longer responding. The nurse steps out and informs everyone that Anupama has stopped responding. Babu ji and Aadhya cry while Toshu tries to comfort Aadhya. Meenu, trying to stay hopeful, reassures Babu ji that nothing will happen to Mami.
Anuj continues ringing the temple bell desperately. The doctors try everything they can to revive Anupama, saying it’s their duty to keep trying until her last breath. But despite their efforts, Anupama becomes lifeless. At the temple, Anuj collapses. In his thoughts, Anuj reflects that Kanha will always be with Radha, whether they live or die, and that their love will remain forever. The song “Hum Rahe Na Rahe” plays in the background as the doctor removes the oxygen mask from Anupama’s face. The nurse comes out, and when Titu asks about his mother, the nurse delivers the heartbreaking news that Anupama is no more, shocking everyone. Meenu tries to comfort Aadhya, while Sagar sits in shock, crying. Toshu also cries and hugs Titu, then Babu ji.
But then, Anuj hears Anupama’s voice calling him and feels her holding his hand. He stands up, holding her hand tightly, refusing to let her go. Anupama gently tells him that he is a father and cannot leave, reminding him that their daughter Choti needs her parents. Anuj protests, saying that their daughter can’t live without her. Anupama says that her time has come and she has to go, but Anuj insists that Aadhya won’t be able to bear it. Anupama reassures him that he will take good care of Aadhya, just as he did six years ago.
Anuj, still in denial, says what she’s doing isn’t right. He reminds her that Aadhya hated her for five years but now loves her deeply. He pleads with Anupama not to leave, saying he was waiting for Aadhya to accept her, and now that she has, they can’t be separated. He says Aadhya didn’t get her mother’s love before, so Anupama shouldn’t take that away now. Anuj says he needs her to help raise their daughter, to guide her, and even to find her a good husband. He imagines them growing old together and says he won’t let anything happen to her. Anuj begs her to live with him, saying he can’t survive without her.
Anupama, with tears in her eyes, tells Anuj that she will always remain in his heart and hugs him. She says that wherever she goes, he will always be with her in spirit, but now he must live for Aadhya. As they hold hands, the sound of “Krishn Krishn” plays in the background. Anupama and Anuj join their lockets together. Anuj then wakes up, realizing he was unconscious, and calls out happily for Anu, believing she is still with him.
