Popular actress Anita Hassanandani is making a comeback on screen after a long break. She will soon be seen in the show Suman Indori. In a recent interview, Anita became very emotional while talking about her late father.
Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, Anita teared up as she remembered her father from when she was 15. She shared, “He really loved me. He was an alcoholic, so our connection was a bit strained, but the bond with a father is always special.”
Anita continued to cry and said, “I haven’t talked about my father for years.” She added, “Now that I have a child, I wish he could have met Aaravv. It would have been so special.”
The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress believes her father is watching over her and guiding her through tough times. She recalled, “I was always upset with him for drinking. At that time, I didn’t understand why. Now, I know it was an addiction. He was dealing with his own struggles. I want to apologize for not understanding him.”
Anita also mentioned that her father was going through a difficult period. “Looking back, he did his best,” she said. “I used to be so angry about his drinking. I regret that we didn’t have better times together.”
She talked about her childhood, noting that her family faced financial difficulties, which frustrated her father.
Anita has been part of many popular shows, including Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kkavyanjali, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasamh Se, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, Naagin 3, and Nach Baliye 9. However, her role as Shagun in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein brought her major fame. Her performance as the antagonist was well-loved by viewers.
Anita is now preparing to play the role of Devika in Suman Indori.
